Gavaskar has been the best test player India have ever produced - thousand praams to him and I am no specialist to comment on him - he is beyond all test batsman - his commentary and analysis on tests are something we look forward to...not so for 50 over and T20 - we love commentary of Peterson, ABD, Lara, Sourav, Akram, Shastri, Naseer more in 50 overs - their analysis are much better and so is their understanding of the game...

Mr chandril is probably one of the greatest rational speakers in india... His criticism is truly justified as usual... Now coming back to the controversy... I m not a fan of IPL though i m a great fan of cricket... Strike rate matters in t20... Everyone has a right to criticize in a constructive way ... Gavaskar was right or wrong it depends on our perception. I dont know in which situation he made the comment. Gavaskar n kohli two great names in indian cricket. Virat is at the threshold of making 100 centuries in int. Cricket ... Just unbelievable... He won so many matches sigle handedly... He is one of the biggest icon of indian cricket Who is sunil gavaskar? He had only 35 hundreds in int cricket... 34 in tests n 1 in odi. The stat is saying he is an ordinary cricketer. Hahaha... Twist is here ... He was a opener, played on green top wickets, the fearsome, deadly attack in the form of giant west indians robers, garnar, holding Marshal, aussie attack thomson lillie... Eng bob willis n co ... Richard hadlee, pak attack imran, sarfraz, wasim akram abdul kadir... That era was different... Without grilled helmet 150-160 pace, flood of bouncers, smelling the leather...scoring 100s in tests... At least he deserves minimum respect... He played real mens cricket ❤

Your analysis and presentation on criticism are very relevant, honest, and truthful. Every word you said is idealistic and should be followed by young minds to progress in life. However, in Virat's case, he seems to thrive on these agitated responses. If he were to accept criticism gladly, it might extinguish the fire within him. Instead, he channels this criticism into anger and reacts verbally, which motivates him to play better. While you could argue that this kind of drive is short-lived, a player's career doesn't need to span 30 years-a high-impact 10-year career can be sufficient. This approach has worked for him so far, and sometimes these situations go beyond simple notions of right and wrong. Regarding Gavaskar's logic, he has not always been unbiased lately and can be frustrating to listen to when analyzing shorter forms of cricket. Any long-time cricket lover would likely agree with this sentiment.

Gavaskar have never been a big van of talent outside Mumbai - he had the same comments on Dada and now on Virat as well - for an off form Rohit Sharma, who perhaps does not deserve to be a player in Indian T20 eleven, let alone captain - he will never say anything negative...

আপনি কোহলির কথা নিয়ে ঝাঁপিয়ে পড়লেন কেন? কোহলি ভারতীয় ক্রিকেটকে যা দিয়েছে সেটা বিবেচনায় রাখলে এক সিজনের কম স্টাইকরেটের সমালোচনা করাটা অবিচার। এমন খেলোয়াড়কে উৎসাহিত করা উচিত। কোহলির ট্যালেন্ট ও সামর্থ্য নিয়ে তো প্রশ্ন নেই নিশ্চয়ই!
