Sir as we age our range will decrease. In case you are a beginner, you can expand your vocal range using few exercises. Those are the upper and lower sthāyi varisai. Hope I have cleared your doubt.

Firstly, congratulations on your decision to start learning. Age should not be a barrier to learning, in our opinion. Challenges in learning are always person specific. We are positive that you will overcome them using your own will power. The only thing we would recommend at your age, is to watch the amount of strain you put on your vocal cords at one time. Practice often, but in smaller spurts so that you rest your vocal cords and keep them healthy. Happy learning.
