This myth stories is base off from the philippine mythical creatures named, “Manananggal.” Its a curse made from a black chicken. One way to kill it is when the upper body’s gone, use rice, onion, bamboo stick as spears, and garlice and rubs it onto the other lower half of its body. So when daylight comes it cant connect its body and the upper body dies from sunlight. If not this way u can meet up with the upper body at night and use bamboo as spears, stab its upper body and it should died. Manananggal uses its long skinny tongue enter through a humans eyes, nose, mouth or ear to suck up and eat people’s organs. It’s main dish is pregnant woman since it loves babies in the womb.

@@douamoua7573 it doesnt have any proof beside just a story, people back then isnt smart. Plus back there’s people who hype and tells stories in a scarier way to scared their kids at night. Rumores spread like wide fire and people twist and turns the stories in many ways. If its me ill have to say it doesnt have any edvidence to claim its truth, but like everyone says legend comes from an actual truth. Meaning there wouldnt be a story without it happening somewhat in that catagory. So all in all ill have to assume the myth is true but maybe not as scary as the stories may claim. Maybe this so called half human/vampire is just a crazy person who loves to kill and eat people. When the people killed him/her and he/she was stabbed or cut on the stomach as its lower half is missing with all his/her intestine hanging. That vampire/human just isnt dead yet and still moving. Hence the village people saw this and decided to hype up rumors of the stories thats all. However the vampire was curse so they say, thats why he/she love eating people, eps girls with a baby in their womb.

FYI, this type of ghost/spirit/myth is well known in the Southeast Asian folklore. In this Thai version, it is called a "Krasue".
