The reason Dabi is so burned is because of his own quirk. See - while Dabi's Blueflame quirk is IMMENSELY powerful, much stronger than Endeavor's Hellflame quirk, he, unfortunately, inherited his mother's resistance to freezing temperatures, instead of his father's resistance to heat. Therefore his body is incompatible with his own quirk. Because of this he has low resistance to his own flames and gets burned easily if he overuses it. Resulting in all those burns he has. You can actually see how much he burns himself throughout the series as when we first meet him - his hands are still normal, but then only his fingers remain untouched until the burns spread even to his knuckles as he uses his quirk throughout the series.

Suzy........ let me tell that when this episode/ manga chapter was released, the internet got blown to kingdom come. 🔥 🔥 ❄ ❄ Um Suzy? We already knew about Touya Todoroki since season 5. He was first mentioned by Natsu in season 5 episode 2, Endeavor talked about him in a flashback during season 5 episode 8, Then in season 5 episode 17, during the Todoroki dinner, we saw his picture frame and his ash memorial that Endeavor was praying to, and finally Endeavor said that Natsu was right, that he basically killed Touya.

Tbh, the Todoroki family characters have easily become some of my favorites in the series. Minus Enji since his characterization is all over the place, but Dabi, Shoto and the others are so well-written

@@JJ-pf9fz Yeah, he is paying for it big time. We can see that he is tormented by his sins. He also lost his child, now that child has come back from the dead to torment those he loves and he can do little to prevent it. I suspect his guilt will cause him to lose his fight with Dabi. Poor Shoto.

The reason he hated his mother was because he knew she had him only for money and she only had a mental break down because she hurt shoto not because of his death.

There is some sort of love from endeavor. Toya haves the body of ice and the fire quirk so his own quirk is a curse, that is why he is burnt. Endeavor casted him away because he didn't want Toya to hurt himself

Nobody taught Toga anything of value. Her quirk is tied to blood and love. She must consume blood and love the subject to become them. Unfortunately, her parents were imbeciles that forced her to deny herself until she snapped, and everything she was came rushing out. All she knows is what she can interpret from how she feels. The society tells them their quirk is akin to their soul. It's their whole value. Then, they judge the quirk, and either discard the person or suppress them in some cases. Toga was one of those suppressed. Somehow, she was expected to live without a sense of value or worth while being treated like she was a mistake. That was how her parents expected her to live. She only has what she could figure out for herself, and it's truly sad. Dabi was suppressed, too. Only, they tried telling him that he should be worthless for his sake. Imagine how much sense that made to a child. The society of My Hero Academia is far more evil than the villains when you think about it. They discard innocent hearts that trust them implicitly, and they gaslight the hearts into it while actually believing they are doing what is best. The villains they create are just those they discarded who dare to have self-esteem, and they become fodder for the heroes that protect the regime in charge. Under the surface, MHA is a very dark anime.
