I really wish Romario could have played more than just one year with Michael Laudrup. Laudrup was the KDB of the 90s, and with his passing Romario scored 32 goals for Barcelona. Laudrup had a falling out with Cruyff that year, and left in the off season. Romario had a falling out with Cruyff the next year, and returned to Brazil before the mid season. Romario said Laudrup was "the fourth best player in the history of football".

To the date every striker that we knew has some of em: Mbappe, Messi, Cristiao Ronaldo, Halaand, Lewa, Suarez, Ibra, Adriano, Harry Kane, Herny, Shevchenko, Rooney, Tevez, Aguero... all of them watched Ronaldo as kid. Man how did messi escape injury with the way he played throughout his career look at r9 , Maradona they suffer injury with the dribble and movement they do all the time along with tackles and challenges , look at cr7 who was quite great dribbler at utd 1st phase he completely change his game play to avoid injury and to score more .. only Pele and Messi are the greatest dribbler and scorer at the same time for a very long time consistency

Ronaldo himself said last year he believes it was the way they did training back then. How they would make him run miles and miles every week instead of focusing on short quick sprints, which is more similar to what happens in a game. According to the man himself the long runs started wearing out his knees, that were already being demanded a lot because of his strenght and acceleration, and from there on it just got worse.

Ronaldo has some portuguese videos speakin that the way they trained foobtall back in 90s was wrong in a large amount os errors. i.e.: the used to ran 10km in 30 minutes but he was not a marathon guy and he need to train 100m run, sprints etc what Messi did in training sessions since a kid.
