Hannett was and is incredible. I have listened to more or less everything he has produced and this is the last band I had yet to properly listen to. Absolutely classic Hannett production. I hope he can see how appreciated he is now from wherever he is now as I feel that back when he was around, it was one setback to another for the poor guy. Ian's death, Factory's acts voting to out him, Happy Mondays becoming successful only after his production. Very sad.

Who is Hugh Jones...and why is he co-credited for production? Seems odd.

Hugh Jones sort of cleaned up the Martin Hannett production. There are Blue In Heaven songs in which we have two versions: a Hugh Jones version and a Hannett version. The album version of this song is all Hannett. Give that one a listen, it is text book Hannett production. despite Hannett,the singer reminds me too much to people like Bono and R.Smith,something one-dimensional,that sucks anytime....incidentally Hannett played and deified the bass guitar ,typical of Hannett productions...the gem Joy division
