I’d say she’s unpopular because of her defensive playstyle and bc luma is a very unique mechanic. Rosa is not really hard, she has big hitboxes and good range, just a pretty deep character

@@manumanumanuma that’s a good way to put it. Rosa has some really good tools. I’ll still say she is hard because as soon as you get to a kinda try-hard level you can get abused by fast characters like Roy when Rosa doesnt deal well with up close pressure. Also if you want to really improve w Rosa your ceiling will be higher if you delve into the deeper parts of Rosalina

I think that just makes the mu bad for rosa not rosa a hard character. Idk, my experience with rosa is that she has a lot of hidden tools and specific situations with luma that you have to practice until they become natural, but she doesn’t leave me mentally exhausted after playing like simple but very precise characters such as zss and sephiroth do, those characters i would consider hard. The most precision rosa requires for me so far is spacing dac nairs

3:56 fun fact, detethered Luma combined with Rosalina's F-smash is the most damaging F-smash in the entire game sparing Link i think.

4:09 i tested in training mode and 1v1 vs myslef and in both places (accounting for stale damage) Luma seemed to take around 48% damage before disapearing, regardless of being tethered or not

I would like to know something, you know Rosalina is already played, I started using her and I really liked her in Smash 4, because I don't have a switch, they told me that Rosalina is nerfed in switch ,that's true? or do you feel much better wue in sm4sh?

She is definitely less good in Ultimate than smash 4. Jab in particular, while still having very decent use, is not the matchup-defining move it used to be. However the switch introduced new mechanics that Rosalina heavily benefits from. Attack cancelling in particular didn’t exist in smash 4 iirc, and is very useful for her in neutral especially when looking for kills. Also, Nair is a completely different move. I don’t exactly know what it did in smash 4, but in Ultimate it is a very safe combo starter from 0 to kill%, as well as an all-encompassing disjointed hitbox with especially good range behind her. Rosalina also suffers a lot from rage being toned down from smash 4, and Luma cheese is nowhere near as present despite still somewhat existing. Up throw-Up air doesn’t exist anymore either
