@@matthewknutson96 Drive to Survive is perfect for new fans to get introduced to the sport, but sadly some of the story lines are fabricated or exaggerated. They often use radio’s from different races and pretend it’s all from the same race so it fits their story, they manipulate interviews, they have this fake presenter guy who does the presenter voice as if it was taken from tv commentary so it also fits their story better. I still watch drive to survive because there are some great stories and insights, I also find it entertaining and it’s well made, but some things are also completely inaccurate, and they clearly focus only on the couple of teams/ drivers that they want to tell a story with, and then they miss out on some of the biggest events of the year (for example: George’s drive in Mercedes). So if you only watch the show but don’t necessarily follow the sport, it’s important to keep in mind to take things with a grain of salt. If you’re curious about all the things they got wrong, I’m sure there’s probably videos on KZbin explaining it all.

It is just them getting paid a lot of money to do a dangerous sport for our entertainment, and then getting out of a car to survive. If you want brave, look at what the police and military do for a living. They enter dangerous situations on a regular basis to protect other people while getting paid almost nothing to do it compared to professional athletes, oh and they also don't get the individual fame and recognition like professional athletes do either. That is brave!
