This video was made just before the chicken coop was built. The chickens are now always outside and in their coop at night. We make 4 walks with Loulou & Coco per day, of which 1 long walk (sometimes 2). When it is busy with cyclists, they stay onleash. Loulou & Coco listen carefully but certainly some cyclists go so fast and we don't always hear them coming. But most of the time Loulou & Coco are off leash. That makes them really happy, they can run or walk and sniff where they want. xxx Eveline

I love dachshunds. Out of all the dogs i've had over the years my favorite is the dachshund! My little girl passed away on the 18th of this month from cancer at the age of 14. I miss her so much and Loulou brings me so much joy!! I am currently in the process of finding another dachshund pup :)

@Tom So sorry for your loss. My good ol' boy Max ( just a street-rescued Heinz 57) died last year of cancer. He was the best dog in the world. But I still have my old girls Lady and Lulu to keep me company. I dread to think of losing them...

Hello little pups, You both are so happy and really enjoy your walks and meals. The ducks are funny. The chickens were feeling intimidated by how territorial the ducks were behaving. You and Fred have done such a beautiful job with the backyard. Must be glorious having clean rivers, lakes and seas they can run in! We took ours down to KZN, and 2 picked up an ecoli infection just from walking on the beach - the rivers are full of sewerage. With the recent floods it's worse, I believe many towns and villages still don't have fresh running water out of the tap. And in Gauteng, you don't let your dog swim in a public river or dam, they are so polluted!

Hi Eveline! I hope that Fred gave Loulou and Coco the meatballs for their late night snack! Leader Loulou shredded her chicken feet 🥇 Dainty Coco finished in 🥈😀! Leader Loulou runs a tight chicken and duck formation! She wasn’t putting up with any nonsense out in HER yard 😂 It looks like Loulou is a deeper sleeper than Coco. Loulou stayed asleep on the white fluffy bed longer. My Plush Princesses looked like chocolate and caramel syrup on vanilla ice cream! Just divine doggies!💕

Eveline - When I ran the word eierkoek through Google Translate, it said "Frisian Detected." Do you speak Frisian or Dutch? I find languages interesting, and from what I can glean from studying word origins, apparently English has a lot of words that originated in Frisia to which it is most closely related (at least until so many loan-words from so many countries became part of the English language). Loulou and Coco are as adorable as always, and I really like the feisty little Call Ducks! 😀
