WOW! So ALL of the voices heard in this Columbia/Screen Gems cartoon were my late grandfather, voice artist & comic DAVE BARRY. Dave was signed to a contract with Columbia around 1943 and voiced many of these "Phantasy" features. His newsreel announcer voice (and sound effects) can be heard throughout, and he also did his signature "gurgle" voice which he used often in his career including on 1947's Marilyn Monroe film "Ladies of The Chorus" where he plated Ripple the decorator (with my dad Alan Barry playing his son "Trickle" doing the same gurgle voice). He also used the gurgle voice weekly as a regular on the Jimmy Durante radio show in 1947 - playing "Mr Ripple, the Commissioner of Waterways." Dave Barry did countless cartoon voices - easily over 50+ features (check out his IMDb) including Bluto and many more.

That's so cool, thank you for sharing this info! Your grandfather seemed like a cool guy and got some interesting gigs in the golden age!

Originally released in April 1945, which meant a number of topical wartime gags (including the inevitable "Victory Garden" reference at 3:49). "Sexquire" [Esquire] (4:20) was considered THE "men's magazine" of its day, featuring enticing artists' pin-ups {including those of Alberto Vargas} of sexy women in various states of "barely there" [Bugs Bunny gave Elmer Fudd a variation of the gag in "The Unruly Hare", released a month before].
