Dacia Duster 4x4 Chains On Mud! Is it worth it or not?

Good use of chains. Nice to see you have a little start at self recovery. Hate to have to call a tow truck out there if you get really stuck. You might look into a set of Maxtrax or similar traction boards. Then - winch.

Salut! Poți să-mi spui dacă aceste lanțuri sunt Veriga Pro Compact 9mm 120? Am de urcat la Mădărași (Harghita) mâine și aș fi vrut să iau Veriga Pro NT 240 dar nu ajunge curierul în timp util. Crezi că ar face față 9mm 120 la un drum forestier de 16km cu diferență destul de mare de nivel? Și doar pe față sau spate? Mulțumesc.

Da, sunt veriga pro compact 120. Eu zic ca fac față. Dar sa fie și puse pe toate rotile. Dacă o sa ai de făcut coborâri și lanțurile sunt doar pe spate, s-ar putea sa ai probleme cu aderenta pe față. Iar dacă le pui doar pe față, sigur o sa ai probleme la urcări mai abrupte.

@@gnbproduction1284 Dacă ai si cauciucuri bune de iarna poti urca la madaras si fara lanturi. Sau dacă chiar ii cazul sint bine si un set de 130 de lei doar pe fata, cu asa un set am urcat si cu cauciucuri all season de 45k km. Am urcat din partea dinspre izvoare.

How duster reacts to 215 /70 r 16? Performance etc... some say its "dangerous "for your car not to put oem size ...thoughts?tnx ..love your videos..i watched all of them..

The only thing to take into consideration is that the wheels can touch and scratch the interior of the wings when turning, but that’s mostly because of some rims. My 16” steel rims are ok, I don’t have this problem but there are some owners that had this problem.

watched the superb snow test first. Here's another clear argument to have chains for the muddy situation (totally melted surface over the still cold deeper mud I believe....really slippery). Several comments (which seem pretty obvious and I'm sure you are aware of them): tire/rim size in the test - Riken Suv Snow 217/70 R17? (more like 215/60 R17?), the trick with the plastic bags - superbly simple and clever ! and lastly, the camera from outside really makes annoying mistargeting....I found myself pushing my head upwards several times in an effort to "catch" the Duster in frame 😂😁

Yes, sorry about the camera and its focus feature going wrong sometimes. I made this choice because is small and easy to use. Not to hard for the hands 😄
