@@basicbasic7591 i’m so glad other people acknowledge this! there was an interview Joe Keery himself said he feels like the scenes he had with Dacre, like the basketball scene, had homoerotic tones. I think it’s really meaningful that he acknowledges it, especially considering how the actors in Stranger Things usually have a hand in making their characters have more depth or be more complex-so much of Billy’s complexity is due to Dacre and much of what we love about Steve is thanks to Joe. And I say this not to imply Joe and Dacre had romantic feelings towards each other, but more that they seemed to want the characters to cross paths again because of the potential both of the characters could have together, like maybe Steve inspiring Billy to seek redemption, plus what you said about both of them fighting together and taking care of the kids. I was so disappointed with the direction they took in season 3 😕

And in the end they GAVE billy a SORTA redemption that was lazily written and disappointing. When they had DACREE. And who if not Steve to help billy with it here. Steve is the only person billy interact with aside from max, and their story didn't get any ending. Steve is like very aware that he himself acted like a douchebag before Nancy. And let's be honest they had no idea what to do with Steve in season 3. When he deserves development to become more mature and reflecting. And just imagine what Joe and Dacre would make of this scenario. That'd be enough for a spin-off) Why, just why we never got an arc about two of them. Oh I will never recover.
