VoA hasn't existed as a pirate band for long. The last founder is the drummer Thomas Caser. The band was founded in 2000 as a Nightwish clone. Like many clones, it is characterized by change and lack of success. In 2012, the boat drifts around without direction and Thomas decides to break up the band due to differences within the band. For the last performances, he brings in the Frenchwoman Clémentine Delauney as a guest singer. Thomas realizes that Clemi is a game changer. In 2013, he fires the entire crew, brings back three founders, makes Clemi the new female singer and brings in a replacement for the male singer. He promises to take the band back to its roots. Clemi already had the idea of ​​turning VoA into a pirate band back then. Metalheads are the rebels of the music scene and pirates are the rebels of the seas. But Thomas doesn't feel like dressing up and refuses. Clemi has to hide rebels and pirates in the lyrics she writes. But most of the band members see VoA as a hobby and in 2018 the crew is almost completely replaced again. The restart failed. The Italian singer/songwriter Michele Guaitoli is hired as the new male singer and quickly becomes the main songwriter. The 2019 album Wanderers is above all a stabilization as a band: VISIONS OF ATLANTIS - Heroes of the Dawn (Live) (Official Video) | Napalm Records On the tour they meet the sound engineer of another band, Felix Heldt. He is also a songwriter and producer and shows the band new musical possibilities. During the pandemic, Felix and Meec have to agree on where the journey should go. Clemi comes around the corner again with her pirate idea and this time she finds a majority. Thomas has to banish his concerns below deck. Pirates will be the band's breakthrough in 2022. After 22 years, the band is finally on the road to success. It is part two of a collection of pirate short stories. The recurrence of a character in the videos suggests that a concept album will come at some point. But at the moment Clemi is creating her own pirate world. They are Hollywood pirates whose stories are universal and valid for everyone.
