Dan, thank you for sharing your life with us. I am Pacific islander who grew up in a community that elevates our elders and everyone in our community treats our elderly like they are movie stars 😂. My elderly sister had a mental disorder and she can go to any store and purchase her favorite things with plain papers, the store clerk’s go along with the charade of the paper as real money and later they would call the house and we or any relatives would pay. It is so beautiful to treat our loved ones good. Thank you for being a beautiful son to your precious father.

And my ex-husbands mother (who I share my three children with and we are still friendly. The kids are 2 in HS -jr and sr, and one a freshman in college) just got diagnosed with dementia. She packed her entire apartment in Florida and called her landlord and she she owned an apartment here in Long Island. She does not. It is so incredibly sad to see, as a strong woman who carried two very reputable jobs- similar to Grandpa being a doctor. Dementia does not discriminate. I have directed both my ex-husband and children to watch this channel now because she is living w them now. This channel will learn then so much about patience and respect!
