Aww I felt for the little one who got second place, you could tell he was putting on a brave face trying not to cry. Chin up little man, you've got so far to grow still!

Awe you just want to give the young ones a hug when they look that sad. It hurts to lose, I was the same way as a kid. Shows you want it so much! Great coaching, Nile. The kids will remember that forever.

This is the best and so nostalgic. The kid who came in second for the handstand hold had awesome form!! Very impressive to top 3 minutes - we used to do 3 sets of 2 minutes and my brain was literally rewired by the perseverance that required. Forever grateful for this sport that made me who I am today.

I can't like this video enough, gymnastics is what brought me to your channel and it's what I love to see the most. I will never forget the young girl who did the unbelievable amount of one leg squats on beam, I''ve often wondered what happened to her and if she's still doing gymnastics.

I think one of the most important lessons I've ever learned in my entire life is its okay to lose. It's okay to come second, third, or 5 millionth. What's not okay is giving into that frustration and disappointment and letting it beat you. Instead say 'you know what it's okay I didnt win that, but I'm going to keep working hard at the things I enjoy because I enjoy them'.

This brings back a memory of when I was a boy playing on a basketball team. As a gay boy in hiding but trying to fit in with the non-gay boys, I tried to do my best on the basketball court. At the end of the quarter, I was crying because I tried so hard to play well. The coach said nothing until my mother told him to acknowledge me for the effort. I remember feeling that his "Good game" lacked sincerity. Thank you Niles for exemplifying empathetic and empowering coaching skills. You're showing us how to be better stewards of each other.
