This is definitely a family drama. F/L is STRONG. She's 😊so confident and smart. The kids are so talented. They Had me laughing. 😅😂 Especially when they talk about their dad's inability to Woo their mom, "dads so dumb" 🙄😳🥴 Great supportive mom and grandpa. It was such a wonderful drama to watch. So many of these chinese dramas are full of negative everything. It was refreshing to see a good feel show. There isn't a lot of romance, ie: kissing, shower scenes, etc. Just enough to show their feelings were moving in the right direction. The m/l is si handsome ❤, what is his real name? Gotta add him to my fav list of actors. So. Make sure you watch this. This is one I'll watch multiple times. I just like it. 👍 Thanks to entire production team for your hard work. ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤

This was definitely one of the better stereotypical "who did I sleep with that night X years ago" shows (and by the Gods these guys have damn good memories I tell you! Wish I could recall what I was doing 7 yrs ago at 1 AM at X hotel room # on the night of X date ... but nope, sadly I can barely recall if I even ate brekkie/lunch/dinner today let alone go much past that lol!). At any rate, my only gripe is that I really REALLY wish they would release these with the original voices/text FIRST, then opt in for the AI text-to-speech dubbing. I mean I get that Westerners want these dubs, I'll even admit that I did myself some 40+ years ago when I started watching Anime/supremely badly dubbed non-English films, but at my age I enjoy watching shows/films/etc in their native languages as today's tech makes language barriers virtually obsolete. Plus as someone who knows how bloody hard these actors/writers/producers/entire cast for that matter work to create these short mini-dramas it's a huge insult to the people who make them. Be it a written book, telly shows, films, Anime, or whatever it is, anyone in the field of putting their works out to the public will tell you that it's not just a big budget role or a million £ book deal that makes someone well-known - it's the imprint they leave behind that makes them who they are. By that I mean ... well, for example take someone like Darth Vader. Could you really appreciate or approve any but James Earl Jones to voice the character? Or let's move back to Chinese shows - could you really want anyone but Esther Yu and Dylan Wang to voice Xiao Lanhua and Dongfang? Would you want anyone but Xu Kai to voice Fuca Fuheng in Yanxi Palace (and I'm a NOT a fan of any Ming/Qing/early Republic shows but I made an exception for this one after seeing several clips of Xu Kai as Fuheng and his role alone was enough to break my own rule and watch the series and it was worth it though I doubt I'll make many more exceptions)? At any rate, far as this show goes I can't give it a numbered rating because I honestly feel rating a dubbed version is pointless as there's just no way I can say yes the plot, characters, subs, etc are worthy of the or not. I will say I did like there was more than 1 costume set per character which is a nice rarity for a mini, and though the plot was A-typical with the usual Green Tea/Villain(s)/face slaps/etc at least the FL wasn't taking things lying down and fought back for herself, her loved ones, and kicked-literal-arse when needed. As for the ML he was a bit more on the stereotype chart with the usual 'I screwed up but I had a good reason for it so she will have to forgive me" which is always a bit stupid of MLs but meh, I just chalk that up to the fact mini's don't have the time or budgets for better so I forgive when it's forgivable ... but honestly there were MANY other ways he could have got the info he was wanting other than in the way he did so for that he gets only a "coulda/shoulda done it better" tick from me. At least the kids and NaiNai made up for that, and though I obviously can't compare to the original Chinese speaking version, I'll hope that whoever did the AI dub was at least close enough to the marks that they all did a good job on their roles. So overall, though I can't give my usual ratings it's still worth a watch at least once. And to the OP who put this up - if by any chance you got this far and read this can I ask if you could please post up the original Mandarin version as well I (and I'm sure many others) would be very grateful! Or if anyone out there knows where I can watch this in its original format and could post a link I also would be very appreciative of it, TY in advance! :)
