Butterfly was released Nov. 30, 2015. It's the third track on their album Hwayang Yeonhwa pt.2 (we simply call it "HYYH 2" - English title: "The Most Beautiful Moment in Life Pt. 2".) Jimin...that..."breathiness"...to his voice ALWAYS gives me goosebumps in this song...especially when they perform it live. There is some debate on its origins, however. I don't think BTS ever confirmed (though I could have missed it). Some think it is about a love interest. Some theorize it's about loving someone who is su*c*dal. Being released so long ago, of course, it's definitely not about the pandemic. It is just such a..."pretty"...song. And another one of the few slow songs I love.

Butterfly was released in 2015...latest version live was at their last "free" concert in Busan,10/2022. And it was just the vocal line singing. The entire concert, although weirdly edited( not a fan of Primes editing,or whomever)...but yes,it's on Prime Video , PTD ("Permission to Dance ")concert is on Disney,along with the 8 part docuseries "BTS Monuments: Beyond the Stars"about BTS,"The Road to DDAy" of Sugas,and "JHope in the Box"...also on Prime is "Hope on the Street",JHopes 6 pt docuseries on his new album and dancing! A lot of songs can be ARMY songs... and we tend to take them that way. RM encourages us to take them and interpret them as we like. BUT this is a Yoongi song.... and he did give a little background. He used the butterfly as a symbol of how love or someone you love could be lost at any second. Considering Suga went through a period where he was near suicide it probably had some influence as well. As well as losing a friend to drugs. He is one of the only idols to talk about his cyclical depression and the issues he had with managing his pain due to his shoulder. You should watch Amygdala ... as it is a song about that time in his life. It is a very traumatic video though and comes with a warning. I don't think you can understand Yoongi... Agust D... without watching it though.

Not pandemic related, not a song for army, and not a romantic song lol. This is part of the BU where they explore going from boyhood to manhood. Not sure if this is correct but I read that this one is about a friend being suicidal. At the end of the day the important thing is what did it mean to you? For me it's trying to keep your friend from "leaving" or changing. 💜

Butterfly is one of my ultimate favorite songs of BTS'. First, this is one of those melancholy songs, that makes me feel sad but not hopeless. I'm generally a happy and positive person but I don't mind feeling what most people would call "negative" feelings; I just can't stay there. Second, the choreography to this song is beautiful. There are references in the song that you probably aren't able to catch that imply that the song is for someone who the singer is afraid with end their own lives. The song is part of the BU, where some people took such action in the fictional story line. South Korea has one of the highest rates of teen sui***e in the world, so this song is really for the people who are considering such actions and the people who love them. The song is literally begging people not to do that. It's a beautiful, haunting song with beautiful choreo, but this video doesn't really let you see the choreo very clearly. There's a dance practice for this song. that was released as part of the 2022 Festa that you would probably enjoy watching since it showcases the choreo without them holding mics.

butterfly is for army. BTS has soared higher than they expected, but they know it is because of army. but some of their inner selves have been sacrificed for this height of success, and they've always struggled with how they should keep the dream going, whether it was time for them to explore their own artistry and risk losing the people who supported them since the beginning, or stay with the trend and risk losing themselves. the tenuous line between this life struggle is like the butterfly's wings, delicate, ready to fly wherever it needs to go, but if it was not careful, these wings could be clipped and down they can crash. it is always difficult to hold on to a butterfly, no matter how beautiful it is, and BTS knows deep down they can't tighten their grip on it - whether it be their dream and success, or the love of Army. they're very grounded, very wise, very metaphorical too, but nonetheless strong, mature and amazing men this world has ever seen. BTS is forever, even beyond the stage. And i always say as Army, the way we love these young men, we are destined to be with them forever. that, to me, is the definition of true love. Apobangpo. You should check out DT Parker's channel. He is an Army too and a big Jimin fan. He has a separate channel just for Jimin :) And tattoo of all the members on his body. I knew exact still face of Jimin you liked. Yes, he has an otherworldly aura and face that is quite hard to describe. Like a young pure soul. People who have met him do say he has something peaceful about him. There are many artists who paint him. One of the most well-known is Lee K, a Korean artist. One of his many Jimin portraits was even displayed in Carrousel du Louvre in 1922. Honorary Professor of Seoul National University, Jin Young-sun, exhibited a fresco painting inspired by Jimin's 2019 MMA "I Need U" solo at the Alumni Exhibition of SNU Villa D'Art. And later at the Hangaram Arts Center Museum of the Seoul Arts Center.
