After seeing BTS at KCON New York in 2016, their WINGS tour the following year in 2017 at the same venue (Prudential Center in Newark, NJ) was my first official BTS concert!!! Yes, I saw this performance LIVE!! Nostalgia and miss them so much! 😭💜🎶 2020 would've been my 5th consecutive year seeing them live in concert but covid happened. 😭💜🎶

The song, “Begin,” recalls Jungkook's experiences raised by other BTS members. RM wrote the song from Jungkook's perspective. During Bangtan's V-live performance at Wings, the members discussed their own solo songs included in the album. Jungkook further explained that his solo song “Begin” was about his trip to Seoul and meeting BTS members. Jungkook made his debut at the age of 15 and was even younger as a trainee. He moved from his hometown of Busan to Seoul to chase his dreams as a musician. He felt lost in the sprawling foreign city along with the lifestyle of an intern / idol. Surrounded by 6 guys older than him, he felt lost when he was a 15-year-old boy. Apparently, the effect of bonding with members when he was growing up was what channeled a deeper level of emotion, a kind of shared heart with his “brothers” and made him who he is today.
