I was personally never a fan of Keef or drill music. I was more fascinated of the afro-centric side of it. Drill music actually takes you back to relaying "messages" and commands through drill and ceremony. And drill music all about being cryptic on a basic level. A few attacks were noted to have been staged through drill, on track. Fun fact: Chicago Police, to include the UK, actually had specific investigators whose main job was deciphering drill music to 'translate' lyrics to tie rappers to crime that was happening/happened.

Can't honestly call chief keef "goat status" for making drill music commercial. He didn't start the genre, and he did make it commercial first, but at what price? A genre of music isn't responsible for an individuals life decisions. What drill rappers have you heard of not from the hood? These people are in gangs in the hood and already living the life that comes with that. If anything commercializing the music coming out of these places opens the door to a better life outside of the violent inner cities.

@@wififw0141 There's just as many drill rappers who don't get busy, as there are drill rappers that do. Too many people thinking its cool, that end up trying it out and end up making a hit. Then they get tested by the real ones. Not worth it. And yes...this genre of music is directly responsible for plenty of lives being ruined/taken. Its one thing to just listen to a song and do some dirt. But when you start dissing peoples dead friends, knowing people are dumb sensitive about that dumb shit...its absolutely 100% drill musics fault.
