Scaring the Hoes (stylized in all caps; also known as Scaring the Hoes, Vol. 1) is a collaborative studio album by American rappers JPEGMafia and Danny Brown. It was released on March 24, 2023, by AWAL Records. It was produced solely by JPEGMafia and features a sole guest appearance by independent Maryland rapper Redveil. The album had been teased for a year leading up to the release of its first single "Lean Beef Patty" on March 13, with the album's official title being announced the same day. On March 21, the title track from the album was released as a single.

the album was entirely made in a SP 404, which is really interesting because they both talked about how different it was for 90's producers who didn't had access to the amount of tools we have today with a DAW, so peggy took it as a challenge, and goddamn he killed it

I love how much this album has grown on me, like after several listens in, I am able to see the true beauty and utter greatness of each song, even on the shortest track, Run The Jewels, where I am LOVING the nastiness of the saxophone or trumpet that's played, then the opening and closing tracks that originally I saw as the weakest parts, have felt and become more and more fitting when I listen to it, a perfect representation of a grower, not a show'er

Your dad touches on it and i have to fully agree, peggy has an incredible sense of creating a beautiful contradiction between the dense and the empty together working to create a wildly varying sonic range. You can tell he specifically designs elements in every track so that they nestle into eachother so organically but combined create totally foreign and unheard soundscapes.

LOVE your videos!! You guys should do some Mac DeMarco 😋 I think your dad would enjoy his music, especially his album 2 or salad days.

After you do reactions, you should have a follow up review videos. Each of you comes with their pros, cons and other notes. You discuss and then at the end give your ratings. That would be cool imo

I've become a fan of both of them thanks to this project. HUGE fan of this album. On repeat still. I got my girlfriend addicted to a few songs too even though she didn't like it at first. Now she asks to play them 😂. I will say one of my favorite tracks is "God Love You" because of the beat! Sounds like a leaked Kanye demo or something. Login Kanye LOL
