Dad 's New Chipper AND Shredder! Putting the Bear Cat SC5540 through its paces.

Great demonstration video! I live in California, and recently moved from a small city to the Sierra foothills. Bought a house on 20 acres, and have a whole lot of work to do to get this place cleaned up. I did a bit of research on chippers and chipper/shredders, and thought I had narrowed my purchase down to either a Woodland Mills or a Wallenstein, which I was going to purchase online. But I called a tractor dealer nearby and asked what they had available, and he told me about Bear Cat, and so I stumbled on this video. Great job walking through the various features and functionality of this unit.

Liked your Bobcat with Brush cutter. Id like to see how you installed extensions on the hydraulic lines and wonder why they came so short with the attachment

Good video, I've been contemplating getting a chipper/shredder for my 19 acres. It is hard to find good info with the sea of chipper information. I don't like that the processed material just dumps on the ground.

They have an optional discharge chute.

I have a Woods 5000. It looks identical to this machine. I would guess that they come from the same manufacturer. I run it with a 1940's Ford tractor.

Hi can you power it with anything else but a tractor? gas or electric?

The "seasoned oak limb" seems to be a bit of a struggle. Might be time to put a new edge on those 4 blades? I've found that's worth the 20 minute investment of time for top performance!
