No second chances, he made his bed and now he gets to lie in it alone.

Ah the art of storytelling telling… did anyone peep? Which one is it, a family a year for the past 5 years, or 3 two year marriages in the past 6?

Forgiveness of your dad isn't optional, it's mandatory. And God can take your new life and destroy everything you have if you don't give in and give Dad a second chance. According to Matthew 6:14-15, a person who doesn't forgive others will not be forgiven by God. In the verses, Jesus states: "For if you forgive other people when they sin against you, your heavenly Father will also forgive you. But if you do not forgive others their sins, your Father will not forgive your sins." In Matthew 18:20-35, Jesus further expounded upon the theme, after his disciple, Peter, asked him how many times he should forgive a person. Jesus' response was telling: "Therefore, the kingdom of heaven is like a king who wanted to settle accounts with his servants. As he began the settlement, a man who owed him ten thousand bags of gold was brought to him. Since he was not able to pay, the master ordered that he and his wife and his children and all that he had be sold to repay the debt. “At this the servant fell on his knees before him. ‘Be patient with me,’ he begged, ‘and I will pay back everything.’ The servant’s master took pity on him, canceled the debt and let him go. But when that servant went out, he found one of his fellow servants who owed him a hundred silver coins. He grabbed him and began to choke him. ‘Pay back what you owe me!’ he demanded. His fellow servant fell to his knees and begged him, ‘Be patient with me, and I will pay it back.’ But he refused. Instead, he went off and had the man thrown into prison until he could pay the debt. When the other servants saw what had happened, they were outraged and went and told their master everything that had happened. "Then the master called the servant in. ‘You wicked servant,’ he said, ‘I canceled all that debt of yours because you begged me to. Shouldn’t you have had mercy on your fellow servant just as I had on you?’ In anger his master handed him over to the jailers to be tortured, until he should pay back all he owed. This is how my heavenly Father will treat each of you unless you forgive your brother or sister from your heart." I'm sorry Sarah but I would not be friends with you at this point if you didn't change your standards and let your father back into your life, no conditions. I'd demand you lose me on all social media, out of your smartphone directory and any place you keep contact records including my home line. And I'd demand you not acknowledge me in public beyond formalities, nothing familiar. If you ever Miss Mitchell came to my door again in the attitude you have now not forgiving your father and try to defend your position I'd have to call law enforcement to remove you, inform your employer about it and secure an order of protection on both mine and your dad's behalves ordering you not to contact us and direct all correspondence to our mutual legal counsel (insert name here, Esq). You deserve to lose it all, be stripped of this so called happiness and driven into the darkest pits of Hellish depression. Remember this scripture Ms. Mitchell, from Proverbs 24:19-20 Do not become outraged about evildoers or be envious of the wicked. For they will have no tomorrow; the lamp of the wicked will be extinguished.

Did you forget the part where God gave humans free will? He allows humans to decide for themselves if they want to forgive someone. Ultimately, God grants forgiveness because he knows imperfect people will make mistakes.

What is wrong with compassion and understanding?? Yes, the father made mistakes but he was CON by a PRO. He lost everything because of it. To keep blaming him for it years later is just mean and spiteful.
