Exactly this! I mean, ppl are always defending right off the bat without acknowledging that there's soundness in some restrictions. And you know, pointing out these things doesn't necessarily mean telling them off that they can't do this, they can't do that. For sure, the father of this lady only worries how she might look like to others, worse for her safety (with so many sexual harassments here and there). Ppl really have to zoom out from their own perspective, every once in a while.

For a young woman who wants a family it's a problem. You need time to get to know a man to know if he's the right one before making that kind of serious commitment, and then she only has a couple years left, if she's lucky, to have children with him. It's not something you can just put together overnight. Each kid takes realistically an entire year to grow, especially when you add in the recovery time for her body. And at 35 it's considered late to have a pregnancy because of increased risks for birth defects and/or pregnancy complications. Not to mention, it gets harder to find a serious partner, as most have already settled down already. The mindset of men (and women) is very different in America. It's not easy here and she's setting herself up for failure, sadly.

I’m from New Orleans-born and raised and still here. Juvenile “Back that thang up” would have you jumping though. You gotta be from New Orleans to understand. 😆😂However, backing it up can be a bit much. If I hear it I usually just regularly start dancing with my hands up or something. I only act like a clown and actually act up with it in the company of people closest to me-family/friends events, or if I’m not partying IN New Orleans because i understand that in other places, their cultures are different. I think maybe she’s bending over with it, so maybe if she just do a lil’ shake while standing up with, it might help her look less tacky maybe. 🤷🏽‍♀️😂But even then I’m careful of how I carry myself. I wouldn’t dare carry myself like that in public or an event that’s not at least 85% family/friends. No ma’am 🤔In all honesty though, “Back that thang up” is cultural here in New Orleans. I don’t think that that’s why she can’t get a man. It’s probably her immaturity or her character, because again-If I’m being honest, seeing women back it up when that song comes on is normal here. If Thai song comes on at a party here most women run to the dance floor or dance from their chairs. I be like “alright giiirl get it.” It’s that “You get a pass on this one do your thang” type of song. That’s how normal it is. We New Orleanians don’t see as the rest of the world sees it. It’s normal for us here🤷🏽‍♀️🫣 Now, if sexual parts are exposed while doing it? Then that’s different.

I think it depends on the kinda dancing you're doing. Nothing wrong with dancing but don't be all nasty with it. Just unnecessary. No one wants to practice self control anymore. Out there twerking and acting a fool wondering why they can't get a man and if they do it's only for a short time bc dude got what he wanted. If you want a man that will stick around keep that part at home. You got a man there is no need to be out disrespecting your spouse like that. Most men don't like their woman acting like that in public.

Sorry i have to disagree Sir Steve music is in someones soul. If they hear their song the song that most speaks to them they will dance. I do understand the dad but that's not understanding his daughter. Its like if a song from the 70s 80s or 90s played wouldn't anyone with a musical soul linked to a song start to dance

Shaking your ass in public at a place where your potential husband could be watching is not having fun, its lack of responsibility. 29 is no joke bruh. She only got a few more good years to stably get settled

In an ACM college campus visit, a young man asked George Clinton to explain _Atomic Dog,_ because every time that song comes on his headphones, no matter where he is he gets to strutting like a dog! So, put this woman with him and when she backs that thang up, he can strut toward it like a dog!

I’ve gotta disagree with Steve on this. Just because she’s 29, it doesn’t mean she can’t dance & have fun in public. Life is too short to not take advantage of fun moments.

Women have been brainwashed to believe they have to please men rather than themselves. It sounds to me like it's not so much that she wants to be married, but rather her father that wants that. She seems to be enjoying single life just fine, and men tend to hate that because it means they can't use women for their own selfish purposes.

How about a visit to the dentist and get those front teeth straightened. Great advice from Steve Harvey, she keeps behaving like this, the wrong guy would understandably take her actions a dangerous way!!! She's showing no respect in herself or her father!!!

If a man loves her, truly loves her.. the teeth don't matter. Just practice some self control and don't worry about the superficial stuff. The teeth don't matter to someone who loves you for you. Society puts way too much pressure on women to be perfect. We need to be helping eachother and lifting eachother up. Not being critical about someone's looks.
