You had the red dragon fruit. That was the white dragon fruit. The red dragon fruit is actually much better tasting than the white. There are over 20 different types of dragon fruits but you can only get 3 types on the market, the red, the white and a yellow skin one with bigger seeds.

Go ahead, give it a try, your experience might be totally different. I had them and they are ok, not super sweet, but everything doesn't need to be sweet to be good. If you wanna try, try the red flesh or the yellow skin types, they are much better than the white flesh one that he had.

Great video Colaz, especially for those in the Caribbean who've never seen or tried these fruits. Next time you visit the U.S. or Canada in the summer they'll taste much better in season. Next time try the following... a really ripe PEACH & APRICOT, darker (PURPLE) PLUMS as they're sweeter, the YELLOW KIWI's flavour is more vibrant & sweeter. Best to peel the Kiwi and eat it like the Lychee. YELLOW PEARS are softer & sweeter. You should try BLACKBERRY jam as well.

Nothing like a good peach, apricot, and plum in the summer when they’re ready. Plus so many varieties. Skin on or skin off, your preference. Also, not American 🍎. The hairy fruit from the lychee family is called Rambutan. They are from South East Asia. Rambutan is one of my favorite fruits. Peach, plum and apricot are from the same family of fruits. They are way much better when you get them ripe from the trees. I too never liked peach, until I had peach right from the tree. There are a lot of cactus fruits and a lot of them has similar taste. There are a lot of cactus fruits in Jamaica too. Also, dragon fruit is also a cactus fruit and FYI, dragon fruit is native to Jamaica, but most people don't know that, those big red ones are cultivated in China, but you can find yellow ones growing wild in certain woodlands in the hills of Jamaica.

Actually, the only tropical fruits on that tray were Rambutan, tree tomatoes and dragon fruit. The others like, apples, pear, peach, plum, apricot, raspberry and blackberries are all northern fruits that need a cold spell to make fruit. Kiwi is subtropical and cactus fruit is desert.
