The incomparable Frank Morgan, Harry Bosch's favorite alto player. And for sure one of mine.

Frank was outstanding and endearing; also can't say enough about Eric quoting BB on the end of his solo, McCoy was solid and understated, but Stanley Clarke and Peter Erskine really stand out; such incredible players! I would have liked to have seen that entire show!

A million thanks for this video. I used to have a video copy on Beta format of the whole concert, bur this performance has stayed in my mind for many years. This would have to be one of the very best interpretations of this number I have ever heard, with a lineup that meshes so well that it defies belief. To hear it again is just brilliant. Many many thanks.

Oh My God I found it!!! I was blessed with a cassette copy of Stanley Clarke Implosions - which has been long lost - during my youth in '92. At the time I said to myself this is the best jazz I have ever heard...and I've been searching for this for almost twenty years...which speaks to my resourcefullness, or lack thereof! I found your longer clip...thank you so much for posting this. You have no idea how happy I am to have found this exact concert...no other will do!

the cameraman or his/her director seem distracted though --as if they're deaf / bored and looking for something to watch . Distracts from the organic flow of the music . anyway , we like to watch the whole band ,not just the soloist-~~well ,i do ....
