What a great live performance of this song! Couldn't ask for more! As a 1971 high school grad, I miss the '70s dearly! Everything was so genuine. Now we're in Strawberry Fields.

Was lucky enough to meet the band when they toured the US in 1972. All of them, packed with their wives, kids, roadies and equipment into a private greyhound "SceniCruiser" bus - very cool guys!

Somehow Daddy Cool was THE band everyone listened to up here in Maine. Every local band played their songs- Eagle Rock was THE song that got people on the dance floor when bands started to play it...ah, the 70s😄

@@petermcculloch4933 it's so funny- ya, around here, in Maine- we ALL loved Daddy Cool. Every local band played Daddy Cool songs. I mean, it was every where! We all searched record stores for their albums, went crazy when Eagle Rock played....its odd, I know. I wonder if someone from here visited Oz & got turned on to the band & brought it back here...to this day, I have a Daddy Cool cd in my truck. I love this band!🥰

@dji zzah funny isn't it? My guess is that someone from Australia came to Maine & turned us on to the band. When I say EVERY one loved this band, I'm not kidding. The local radio stations played them, we scoured record stores for their albums...and of course, all the local bands played Eagle Rock..it's the song that gets us all out on the dance floor! They were absolutely the soundtrack of Maine in the 70s 😊

In the mid 60s The Easybeats took OzRock to the world and had a red hot go. Daddy Cool were the best Oz band after the Easys. They didn't make it outside Oz. Next were Skyhooks - ditto. Then came a wealth of bands, and finally Men at Work and INXS hit the top of the charts. But Daddy Cool remains in the top 3 bands this country has produced.

It's a trip- this is from 71, but the guitar player (who is amazing btw) has almost an early-mid 80's Cars Rick Ocasek fashion sense to him. Very cool! Heard this band on Tom Petty's radio show on SiriusXM and they are great!

Not Rick Ocasek: Ross was the most elegant guitarist I have ever seen, and does not compare to anyone. He was a total original. I got to see him play every week in the early 90's at the recently-reopened Esplanade Hotel, in St Kilda, Melbourne. His band was called Diana Kiss. Beautiful player, and am not surprised that people like Tom Petty revered him. Miss his playing heaps. Vale Ross Hannaford.
