John 3:16 says it plainly "for God so love the world that he gave his Only begotten son" the word begotten in the greek means one gene, in simple terms he is the only pure and holy one to take the sins of the world. The only person's we worship God the Father, God the Son and God the Holy Ghost. No one is worthy to that place of holiness for the Bible also says in Romans 3:23 "For all have sinned and come short of the glory of God." Last time I checked Jesus never came short nor did the holy spirit.
