I completely understand your concern about Dasomi being required to learn coding at such a young age, especially if she is struggling. As a black woman who has both bachelor’s and master’s degrees in computer science and have volunteered to teach coding to kids, I strongly believe it should be introduced in a way that’s engaging and fun. When I taught coding, we focused on creative and interactive projects, like using Python to design simple games or fun visuals. This approach allowed kids to explore at their own pace without feeling pressured. Coding should be an enjoyable way to learn problem-solving and creativity-not a source of stress. Honestly, I don’t agree with forcing kids to code at a young age. Kids should have the freedom to explore different interests and enjoy their childhood. Once they’re in high school or college, they can decide whether coding is something they want to pursue.

Good to hear that. But what does that have to do with you being black 😂😂 AAs always adding race in every corner

I agree with your thoughts on their education. Focusing on school and building discipline is all they should worry about rn, not being rich. I got into music and the arts when I was young and I was always excelling at it. By high school those are the things I did. But my sister didn’t necessarily know what she wanted to do in school. But she discovered her passion after high school and is doing very well for herself now as an adult and is self assured on her path, and it’s been amazing to watch her flourish (she’s a leader and the youngest lol.) Dasomi will find her passion in her own timing. I hope you guys can work that out for her best interest. You’re a good active dad 👍🏾

I don't agree in forcing children into nothing just for money, coding is not for everyone, that is why some children end up hating school, because of all that pressure adults put on them.

I would find out if the baby is really interested in coding. I had my sons go toward their interests. my oldest son is an entrepreneur and currently in the Philippines and my youngest runs a local tv station.

Money should not be the focus of a child's passion. Yuri is a smart girl, and I can see that she has a bright future ahead of her. These days, it seems like everyone is focusing on "AI" jobs - even unstable careers like influencers - rather than traditional professions like doctors or lawyers. Yet, the underlying feeling remains the same: it's all about where the money is. I hope Yuri succeeds in her classes and does well, but if she decides not to continue, I want her to have the freedom to choose her own path. Schools offer extra classes for kids who are passionate about various subjects. If Yuri is not interested in coding, I'm confident that she will find her passion in one of these additional classes. I'm also glad you have a background in software engineering to support her as best as you can. However, be the person and listen to see if that's what she truly wants. I attended a small magnet high school where we had different "titles" to prepare for university. You wouldn’t believe how many times I changed my path while in high school and even in university. Eventually, the opinions of "adults" will fade away, and you'll discover your own happiness. She will find it.

It was Dasomi in this vlog, not Yuri. 😊🙏

@@lusimyer The "coding" situation is in Yuri's middle school😆Yuri is the one who is having difficulties with coding.

@@quasar4472 Really..How did you get Yuri?? Maybe I misunderstood too? Idk 🤷♀️

@@lusimyer I mostly remember from a past vlog , I believe it was Yuri talking about her coding class on the phone with her friend in the car. Also, the drive in this vlog makes me believe he is going to the middle school(after James dropped off Dasomi). I could be wrong but I'll find it after work today
