Cicadas come out the ground mate and die that's their entire lifespan every 7, 13, and 17 years and their blind so they latch on to you and think your a tree

Their are two different broods coming this year one on the east coast and the other in the northern Illinois area (millions of them). Since they are blind they latch on to you thinking your a tree and you have to literally swat them off of you
