I like Billy's theory that Dave tried to give himself a drunken haircut. It would explain why ESD keeps trying to throw HTG under the bus, Dave does that when the heat's on him. That's why he wastes no time mentioning Earl or anyone else's names half the time, he wanted it to be the Mr.B & East Side Dave Show.

Dave admitted that he did it himself like 2 years later when HTG was in studio. He pretended he did it during a blackout and didn’t remember, but yeah he shaved his own head and pretended he was pranked for a radio bit.
