Our baby slept in the bassinet for his first 3 months, before we moved him to his crib. He slept great and we didn't have to buy another bassinet. We also kept it connected to the stroller so we could wheel him to whatever room we were in. Love the UPPAbaby items, so worth the money.

Great quality video! Thanks for sharing! We started out with the Chicco Bravo stroller and upgraded to the Uppababy Cruz and are soo glad we did! It definitely makes a different! The Cruz was much easier to steer/maneuver especially with one hand, and it just felt a lot smoother. Also it was easier for me to open/close on my own. And at our local baby boutique they had uppababy reps come and you could make an appt to get a “tune up” on your uppababy strollers which was really nice and felt cool to be a part of!

Love following your reviews. I'd be interested to know what your opinions on 3 wheelers are? We love them - they're so agile and i don't think any less stable. We have the Baby Jogger City Mini GT that folds so easily and is great for the car. Also the Phil and Ted Sport which works really well as an inline double. We had the Monutain Buggy Urban Jungle which is basically the same as the Phil and Teds but were disappointed it was unaccommodating for two.

Hi again, Andrew. I first saw Magic Beans' V2 overview much much earlier this year but it doesn't really go into the testing and daily driving aspect of it. We have had the V1 since our first girl was born, and my wife is never one to skimp out on anything for her girls (or girl at the time). We did not know at the time of finally using our V1 with our first daughter that we'd be soon be having to add the rumble seat to accommodate 2 little girls. Our V1 has pretty much become a V1 LXX with absolutely every conceivable compatibility scenario covered short of having it drive itself. Like yourselves, we love the Uppababy brand and have therefore almost exclusively purchased all our gear from them including (but not limited to) a Mesa, a Minu and a GLink2 for slightly easier travel experiences. In the end, my wife being a fan of the TV show, Shameless, uses a hilarious method for making her stroller choices: If Deb would want to steal it, then I want to own it! Anyhow, from one dad to another, I always enjoy your content, especially the life vlogs, because I'm reminded of what's really important when it comes to my girls. Thank you.

We went with the Britax after doing a whole lot of KZbin research and buy buy baby testing.. we liked the safety features it has and it’s quick and easy to use pull tight click harness. Graco is a solid option but if you have the little bit extra I would go with the Britax for the build quality! And by the way your going to love your Mockingbird.. it’s crazy how good it is for the price!

I have the vista V2 and because we skipped a bucket seat all together (got the Graco 4ever instead), we use the bassinet all the time! We use the bassinet as an around the house safe sleep place for our son which is super convenient for walks. If he's napping we just click it onto the stroller and go. It's been worth every penny this first month of use and it's $1500 Canadian.

After watching your mockingbird video I went with that option for our twins. I was truly hesitant as my heart wanted the vista but thought with twins I should be logical and spend less money on a decent stroller. Well I ended up not liking the mockingbird as much as I thought I would. While it was nice looking, in double mode it just severely lacked. It would get stuck on a bumpy road, and the wheels would lock up and my stroller would jerk forward. Thankfully mockingbird had an amazing return policy and refunded my purchase entirely. All that to say, I ended up purchasing the Vista V2 and couldn’t be happier. I should have just went with that in the beginning.

Great review Andrew! I recently purchased this and I couldn't be more happy. It definitely is the smoothest stroller I've used with my daughter. I also use the Doona for quick in and out errands when using the car, but this is great quality. Hi, thinking of switching to this from the Doona, do you feel like the maneuverability is about the same?
@elpiedpiper1
@elpiedpiper1 Жыл бұрын
@@kristajohnson4717 In reality the Doona lasts about 1 year for your child, so you’d have to switch to something else, and the Uppababy definitely fits the bill. It truly is the smoothest ride in terms of the higher end strollers, as well as built sturdily with the option to upgrade to a second seat, or third via board. You’d be making a sound choice. Good luck in your search.

I’m not sure how tall you are but I’m 6’2 and I kick the rear crossbar of most strollers and it’s the most frustrating thing. The fact that the vista’s crossbar is pushed forward and passes through the middle of the cargo area is a GAME CHANGER for taller people. I’ll take that feature over extra cargo space any day! This is the main reason I didn’t buy the mockingbird.

New viewer here and I already really enjoy your videos. Before this I was wondering what the hype was around this stroller and the Jordan Lebron and Kobe reference made that very plain and relatable. LOL Before this I was really sold on the Baby Jogger City Select. I would assume you would put it in the category with the Mockingbird, But how would you compare it? Did you add it to your research at all? I can see that the fold here is better than the BJCS for 1, but it seems most of the other features are similar.

I had the evenflo xpand stroller. And itw as by far the WORST stroller I owned. The front wheel would violently shake and the wheels would dent and cause the shaking. EvenFlo didn't do anything about it, they sent me replacement wheels, same thing happened. I also had Graco Click Connect, and that was VERY NOISY! I hated it. I had the Graco Jogger. Which I LOVED! However, I didn't want two different brands with 2 different carseats, especially since the jogger would only fit in my daily driver and not the other vehicle. I opted (after spending $1,200 on 3 different strollers all together!) to get the UppaBaby Vista V2 and Mesa carseat. And I have never looked back. This was the stroller I wanted from the very beginning, and I should have just bit the bullet and got it then, but I was on the fence about spending that kind of cash on a single stroller. I ended up doing it anyway on 3 different strollers, 2 of which I was very unhappy with. The lesson I took away from it? Always go with my first choice.

@dadverb
@dadverb 4 жыл бұрын
I can't speak to the Agio just yet as I haven't been able to test it, but the Ypsi is a good option for sure. At this very moment it's on sale at a great price and I'd pick it up. But because it's normally $800, it's kind of in the Vista's price range and I'd make the case to go with Uppa between those two. Little things I've noted that I felt could be improved were the fold and brakes. It folds like the Colugo Complete but I wish it was a tad slimmer. And at that price point, the brakes didn't feel "premium" like you'd see with Nuna, Uppa and co. Just my two cents.

I have the peg perego ypsi and I love it. I got it on sale in January for less than $600. It’s worth it if you’re getting it at that price. The negatives- No tray for you or the baby. Curious about mockingbird accessory comparability. Do you happen to know if the chicco car seat connector for the mockingbird fits in the vista? I’ve had the mockingbird for a year. I’m selling it and probably going to buy the vista instead. I have all of these accessories and I’d really like to be able to use them.

Theoretically, could you configure the toddler seat and the rumble seat to face each other.
@dadverb
@dadverb 3 жыл бұрын
Technically yes, but the child's feet in the upper seat will be right in front of the child in the rumble seat, so I wouldn't recommend that configuration.

Hello which one would you recommend for twins the uppa baby vista or the nunna Demmi grow ?
@dadverb
@dadverb 3 жыл бұрын
While I personally love Uppa for littles who are a couple years apart, I think you may fare better with the Demi Grow for twins. In the long run, the Rumble seat for the Uppa will be too small for one of your kids while the other will still have space. The Demi Grow isn't as long and has a slightly easier push when fully loaded. The main downside is you lose your basket space when used as a double. If that's a dealbreaker, then go with the V2.

Hi there! I love your review but I’m torn between the Nuna Mixx Next and Uppababy Vista V2. Which one do you think is better? My baby is coming in about 9 weeks and it’s our first baby. I’m male and not too tall at only 5ft5 and I feel like the Nuna Mixx Next is easier to maneuver and its size is smaller too. Thank you in advance!

Do you have to pull handle all the way up to fold stroller? I feel like handle would get scratched and beat up from hitting the ground when doing that...?
@dadverb
@dadverb 2 жыл бұрын
To self stand the handlebar needs to be fully extended. There are two rubber nubs that flank the middle portion of the handlebar which are designed to make contact with the ground so the leather doesn't have to.

Hi! New mama here! Currently pregnant :) we just bought the vista stroller, we also bought the Graco extend fit convertible car seat which grows with them, from newborn to age 4, because I figured we could get the most use of that one...do you know if there is an adapter for that car seat to fit the vista stroller? Or should I just buy the infant car seat for that stroller? We wanted to have 2 car seats anyways

Very much agree. Based on my limited time I had with Silver Cross Wave, I loved it but I haven't been able to go in-depth on in. Regarding compacts, I got to play with the Jet a bit more but I have to say I prefer my Minu.

@mrsdv
@mrsdv 4 жыл бұрын
I have this system. For the price, I feel it's a very nice system. Let me give my opinion in the hopes of assisting another fellow parent. Pros- it is a smaller and more narrow size than other strollers which makes it easier to pick up and maneuver, especially in stores. * The cover is fairly low (though not as low as this Uppa baby one) but it does close completely with the infant carseat on to cover-up baby entirely. It has a mesh for ventilation on the main stroller. * Wheels are very comfortable and easy to maneuver. They seem pretty steady and even though it's not a running stroller, it is perfectly comfortable for extended strolls as my husband and I do them often (baby is 9 months for reference) * it has decent cargo space in the back, 3 cup holders (2 for parents, one for baby) and a zippered compartment (for smaller things like keys and stuff) * The infant car seat is very comfortable and feels very protective of baby. Also all parts are removable and washable, though the material is also very easy to clean with wipes. * You can buy just the base and use the car seat from car to car. Now with the cons: * No bassinet or full recliner. I was very interested in this, however, the rep at Buy Buy Baby made me feel like it wouldn't be as useful as I thought. I now realize he was wrong. I wish I would have had it for naps for baby when I am visiting family or just to be able to take her without needing to also haul the carseat. * The handles do not move in position so you can see baby in stroller from both sides. The only way to face baby is if you're using the car seat. Otherwise, the baby is facing away. I kind of dislike this as a cheaper little stroller we bought for the in-laws house actually had this capability and it reclines both ways and it cost less than $100. For the price, this would be a great feature to have. * The infant stroller, while very comfortable and safe, is also fairly heavy. As I use it every day, I am now dealing with this frequently (my poor tendinitis is feeling it). Part of that is my 18lb baby though, so take my opinion with a grain of salt! * Base, though convenient, is also pretty pricey. We opted on just buying a full size car seat for our other car and do not regret that decision. We were gifted one though, and my MIL uses that one for picking up baby sometimes. That is convenient since I just drop off baby with car seat everytime and if she has an emergency, she has something she can use. Hope this helps!!

Good questions. The only set I'm aware of is either the stroller-bassinet combo or the total travel system that comes with The Vista, Mesa and bassinet - amzn.to/3uD2Tec To achieve just the Vista and Mesa, you may just need to buy them separately.

How do you feel the Vista compares to the Nuna Demi Grow?
@dadverb
@dadverb 4 жыл бұрын
Very very similar. It's kind of a toss up, but I still lean toward Vista. Personally the thing that bothers me about the Demi Grow is when used as a double, the placement of the second seat is basically in the basket. Kids actually love it, but its a bit odd for me and you lose some of your basket space and access.

Hi girl! I have both the 2019 Cruz and the 2020 V2 Cruz (one for me, one for the grandparents) and they're VERY similar to each other, as well as the Vista V2. The 2020 Cruz is slightly bigger than the 2019, and the wheels and basket are larger and exactly like the Vistas now, along with the cross-support bar that cuts the basket in half. This is the main reason why I enjoy the 2019 Cruz better (no cross bar); the bar is personally annoying! And obviously, the Cruz is only capable of being a single seat stroller, and the bassinet must be purchased separately. If you're on the fence between the two models, most BuyBuyBaby's have the 2019 on clearance for about $460 (to make room for the new model), but the extra $200 for the 2020 V2 may be worth it for you if you want a slightly larger and updated stroller! Hope this helps (:

@dadverb
@dadverb 4 жыл бұрын
Good question. It honestly depends on your little one. Some like sitting while others are too squirmy and like to toddle around. I'd say a good alternate option is to get the Cruz + Piggyback. That way it doesn't have to be as large as the Vista, and your 3 y/o still has the option to ride along if they get tired.

What do you think about Vista V2 vs Minu? Having first child and part of me thinks I may want a lighter stroller and before the pandemic I enjoyed traveling but then I wonder if I will miss out on some aspects of the Vista like the storage. I live on a dirt road and so part of me keep thinking of getting a more rugged stroller like the BOB. Any thoughts or suggestions?
@dadverb
@dadverb 4 жыл бұрын
So in your situation I'd actually check out the Uppa Cruz as it's not as big as the Vista but offers more than the Minu. It's a great in-between option. To the point of terrain, if a majority of your time is spend on gravel, dirt or cobblestone, then an air-filled tires might be better for you. Like you mentioned BOB and Thule are great but I think the Bumbleride Era is a daily option to strongly consider.
