This was a great episode, enough parents don't get enough info and perspective on this stuff. This is a real world approach vs. trying to helicopter protect your kid from the real world. You introduce them to content a bit at a time with parental context

I'm not sure I agree with the idea that "exposure to movies/shows/games" that I may indulge in means it's automatically okay for children to watch simply because they don't understand the concept. There are still images and activities that even I find uncomfortable and wouldn't want my young children exposed to. Ultimately, it comes down to what each individual household feels is appropriate for their family.

I don't think you guys know that a mom is a big Dad Verb supporter here!! I like to forward videos or tips from Dad Verb to my husband. Hahah.. More relatable. I work for PBS and i have a 4 year old. He is a big fan of Daniel Tiger since 2 years old. He never really got hooked to shows like Bluey. But one day, he got hooked to Lion Guard from Disney+ and i can tell a big difference in his behavior. He's more wild and crazy but thankfully he's back to Daniel Tiger. I suggest Daniel Tiger, Dinosaur Train and Wild Kratts for boys. Me and my husband screen shows first before showing our son the show. Blippi and Cocomelon did not make it to the list. He is also obsessed with Jurassic Park('93), because it was my first film in the cinema as a child and i would love my son to love it too. Hahah.. He's ok with it but i don't think will let him watch the others from the saga yet as it is more violent.

My 3 year old had a really interesting reaction to Stillwater. She loves to do yoga and really enjoyed doing Cosmic Kids Yoga before bed. Somehow we stumbled onto the Stillwater Yoga episode and at first it was good. We actually thought it would be even more calming... it was not. With shows like Bluey she gets there is a limit, but with Stillwater she could not get enough and would have a tantrum anytime it was over. We eventually cut that show out entirely and have said no more Stillwater ever again!

Yeah they use test groups to make sure their content is ultra Intriguing to toddlers to where they will not look away for the tv It is great if you want to turn your child into a vegetable for a set amount of time
