Someone said they should’ve ended cercei before night king. Arya/jaime killing cercei makes more sense than arya killing night king. And then the battle with night king, dany killing the night king, jon dies a hero, dany walks away with her and jon’s son (gross incest yes but w/e). Dany was cruel in her moral high ground but she was never hateful. Cercei is the obvious villain because she was hateful and bitter but we knew her reasons, yet they made her be the victim. Literally anything would be better than what we got. Dany was supposed to be like a dangerous prophecy ala paul atreides but it falls flat, and it just pisses me off when you build an entire character up like they did with dany for EIGHT YEARS, even more if you count the book, just for the whole thing to be for nothing. The pay-off is atrocious. I get they want a plot twist which they were good at but at one point plot twist became just empty and for shock instead for the story.

@@sams7635 Yep, she didn't show any anger, disgust, or hatred towards Daemon (unlike when she looked at Aemond), she saw that his true target was Aemond for what he did to Luke, he was never after the child. Daemon actually regrets what happened to Helaena and her son (as it was very brutal and beyond cruel even for him). I don't think he would have harmed her or her children. He was only after the ones who were actively going against him and Rhaenyra (the oath breakers, hightowers, Aemond, and Aegon the usurper. Rhaenyra also would never have allowed it. Helaena didn't have a choice, she was trapped. I wish she (and her children) could have gone with Daemon and Rhaenyra. Helaena also knows that Daemon is the only one who can stop Aemond. She hates what he (Aemond) has become. She also knows that it will happen regardless. There's no stopping it. Her and Alys are simply maneuvering the pieces where they need to go. HBO should consider making a bonus GOT season to retcon some of the conclusion in S8. With how different HOTD has gone with it's direction connection to GOT timeline. Not anything can be retcon, but Jon, Danaerys and perhaps the Night King can. Dexter got another season to fix the damage that was cause with it's ending. So why not for GOT?

They should just do an animated version that redoes the series from season 1. Use the same actors as character designs but write the plot as close to the books as possible. That way they can achieve accuracy as close to the books as possible while maintaining the core of the series. I would just picture it as we have yet to see the actual ending of the show, because the books have yet to reveal it. I don’t consider the “Night King” cannon, or the creation of the White Walkers by the Children of the Forest cannon either. I imagine the show stopped somewhere around season 5, and consider the later 3 seasons as fan fiction.

This show opens up potential for future sequels. The arks with bstards and how they are spread across the world without anyone knowing about them is crazy. This episode's scene with Tyland Lannister opens up potential ark for more Lannisters in future to come back to Westeros. By book Tyland never had wife nor kids. Sharako Lohar was a nobleman and those kids might be raised to be potential lords to save the line in future. Same 'bout Targaryens. On GoT timeline Jon is the last known Targaryen. Now imagine later we get to see even more of their offspings and Drogon is the one to find one, given the story with Seassmoke sensing Adam of Hull.

what yall book readers lack to understand is that game of thrones is like the titanic the ship wrecked at season7 and splited open at season 8 but the problem is before. since season5 to 6 the show and the book went on TOTALLY different directions, characters,motivations,storylines, etc etc. they started going their own way to a point of the last 2 books the only follow some bullet points and ignore most of what happens on the books. that's the problem.

The one dragon falling victim to the Dead Army was quite a good idea, the chains in the water stuff was silly, but the dragon is probably the only key for the dead to cross the wall. However getting dragon killed by this device wasnt that great, maybe if he ended up with a broken wing and heal eventually, Daenerys on the throne would be a great tie for a series, a war starting with killing Targaryen King and history ending with a Targaryen queen, but I dont know if it wasnt too much of the fairytale ending for George honestly, because he doesnt like the plot to be predictible. John being of ice and fire was a good idea too, I guess most of the fans wanted him to end up with Daenerys and resurrect the dragon dynasty (be for real - most of the disappointment came from Daenerys being expected to take over), but I dont think George will do that if he ever finishes the books, fans would hope that for sure Daenerys and John would be a reflection of Rhaenyra and Daemon, because Daenerys is an aunt of John. I wish Daenerys was the next conqueror, a Targaryen conqueror that unites the realm, 7 kingdoms seem to not along well without a ruler that can top all of them, so we could have a first conquest and the second conquest, i still have in mind this is too sugarcoat-y for got

To anyone saying that Helaena doesn’t care for her son’s death is mistaken. She loves her children just like any loving mother would, but since she’s been a dragon dreamer from birth, she always knew Jaehaerys was going to die, or at least her visions gave her a few hints that he would die. And even if she tried to prevent his death(which she couldn’t really do since 1(No one listened to her anyways and 2(she had no power to do so since she’s only a Queen Consort)he still would’ve had to die by Rhaenyra’s hand in order for her to take the throne. It’s like what she said to Aemond. “It wouldn’t change anything.” And here, I don’t think she’s really helping Daemon. I think she’s sending him to his death since she knows he’ll die alongside Aemond. Because she still holds them both responsible for her son’s unjust murder. And she couldn’t really tell what her dreams and visions were at first until now. That’s why she was always making confusing statements before.

To everyone thinking that Helaena is helping Daemon, she’s not. She is sending both him and Aemond to their deaths since they’re the ones responsible for the death of her son. Daemon sent B&C after Aemond killed Luke, but she also knows that he was still ok with anyone with Hightower blood dying, so she also blames him as well. She knows their fight is inevitable even if she hadn’t said anything, but I also think she’s low key doing this for revenge for her son’s death. Like she said to Aemond: “It won’t change anything.”

Leg injury prevents Aegon from climbing the Iron Throne (it's much bigger in the books but they still can show it with the show's design I guess), he can only move around with a crutch. We never knew who the raven was before Brynden, so it’s possible there could even be a raven out there sending Haleana and Daemon visions during that time.

I love that the seers and mystics act and talk through time and space. In Daemon's vision, Bloodraven communicates with him from the future, like Bran almost did back in GoT, when he saw the past. The way the vision is shown, the weirdwood takes Daemon to Bloodraven, and then Bloodraven, being Targaryen too, shows him their shared future. Remember, Brynden is Daemon's greatgrandson. He's not born yet! @jinlo8968 mentions that Helaena may have been doing this as well, which is a nice touch. You can safely imagine her, Alys, Brynden, the Children etc all in one big WhatsApp group chat

i absolutly hated this. The Targaryen Madness, is mostly from them Believing that they are the chosen ones and evry blood spilling is justified. this just seems like a confirmation. Rheanyra was never destined to safe the world. and she didn´t her ruling was a Bloodfest, and she was hated afterwards. not for beeing a Woman, but for beeing a Shitty Queen, who uses her Subjcts as Pawns in her Game, just as much as she allready did with feeding hundreds to her Dragons to get a Warmachine. Deamon is nothing better, and if you want to tell me he never wanted Jahearys dead. it does not matter. cause he gave the command. ultimately with GoT it only becomes more laugheble. cause it was not Rheanyra who saved the world or her Ancestor Daenerys. but Arya Stark.
