i think most people don't know this but there is a mechanic where if you get 2 weapons/charas in a row, the next 4/5 star is the opposite. for example, if you get two 4 star weapons in a row, the next 4 star is a character. this doesn't happen all the time because you can get lucky and just keep switching between weapons/charas but it's a safeguard to make sure you don't pull like 10 4 star weapons/charas in a row.

it's given in the description for the standard pull if you get 2 characters or weapons in a row(4 star or 5 star) you are confirmed to get the opposite in the next pull. In this case when he got the aquila favonia and skyward atlas he was confirmed to get a 5 star character next time and he got dehya. Also the next 5 star he will get will surely be a weapon as he got 2 characters in a row

in case you didn't know, there's actually a hidden pity in the standard banner of whether you get a 4-star/5-star weapon or character. Every 270 pulls will contain both a 5★ character and weapon, while every 30 pulls will have both a 4★ character and weapon. That Aquila Favonia was my first 5 star item before I knew to use my primos wish on limited banner (I wanted Mona) 😭 Due to its highest in class raw attack that sword is Bennet’s BiS tied with Mistsplitter but you’d very much rather use the latter weapon on a main DPS.

Standard banner gives you 5 stars in a pattern. 2 characters 2 weapons 2 characters 2 weapons and the cycle repeats. He first gets tignari, then aquila, then skyward atlas, then dehya, then qiqi. If he were to get a other 5 star, it will be a weapon.
