I've loved Liu Yu Ning since I saw him in "The Long Ballad" and fell more in love with him after listening to all his drama OSTs. Liu YuNing deserves the award for his acting in this role. I think of ChengYi, who acted for nine years before he got famous then the netizens smeared his name so badly for something they made up about him not comforting Crystal Liu like his drama character would. She was crying with heartfelt gratitude for the popularity of Love and Redemption, so why should he comfort her she is just too happy emotionally. He did not respond but was getting so much hate and bad publicity. Then after Immortal Samsara, he won award for best male actor. So, Liu YuNing, just keep doing your best like you are. You will be recognized with awards from those who have professional opinions based on acting merit. You earned it with your own hard work.

Journey To Love is fantastic to watch. I can be laughing one minute and then getting emotional the next, the action keeps coming. One of the few dramas that I did not fast forward while watching. All the cast did a terrific job. ❤

So, I've watched all the way to episode 34. I'm so thankful that he took the role. I think he did a fantastic job playing Yuan Ning. I hope he sees the love that we have for it. In the beginning, I was thoroughly surprised by what we got out of the A Journey to Love. I believe we've reached the part where I'm expecting to be bawling my eyes out. I can only hope it has a happy ending for our main leads because i'm so worried for my second couple that I wanted to ship T_T Yu/Ying's actors have been phenomenal and the character growth that I'm seeing in the show, *chef's kiss*

Hi Marcus! I'm chasing The Last Immortal like a rabid rabbit. It's fun and entertaining and in spite of all the criticisms, I'm just enjoying it thoroughly. I've said before, xanxia is an acquired taste--the tropes, the reincarnations, the immortals that act like they have no brains....heh. So LuSi's decision to take this role because the story had the ML doing all the xanxia FL usual stuff was also the reason why I'm enjoying it. I like watching the ML learning from his silly mistakes for once! And yes, the angst is coming and I'm waiting for it like a rabid rabbit too. Yang Yang looks different in the stills you shown. Thinner in the face. The list of cast looked impressive! I'm thinking this drama has a different vibe from his usual. On Liu Yu Ning, that's absolutely horrible what these antifans are doing to him. Replacing his face with AI? Ugh. More power to him that the drama is #1 and doing well. I'm excited to see him and LuSi in the top three of Vlinkage! It's like no matter what these antifans say about LYN's face or LuSi's voice, their dramas' popularity will prove them wrong. These two actors work very hard and so more power to them that they're reaping the fruits of their labor (LuSi also won an award last night!) Lastly, you mentioned about the saying "salted fish" meaning "doing absolutely nothing." I didn't know that. Back when I was young, "ham yu," the Cantonese saying was used in the phrase, "ham yu fang sang," meaning the dead actually came back alive, like a rejuvenation. When Patrick Tse of old HK movies, went to TVland and made Siu Sab Yat Long, his career suddenly took off again and he became quite popular. The HK papers were calling him a "ham yu fang sang." I think that LYN‘s response to all the annoying criticism is right on point. I do wish people would stop, but he understands the business. I’ve watched up to episode 34 of AJTL and I have to say this is my favorite character of his thus far that I’ve seen. The series is very very good. I wonder how they’re going to finish it out and whether they’re actually going to drop Express Tomorrow. I finished watching love me, love my voice, and gave it an 8.5/10; and I’m looking forward next year to the immortal ascension and the Dafeng one. Thanks!

His love for NYZ was really apparent when he sang the 奉上 OST for a new year’s eve concert (cant remember which one, there were so many lol!) there were tears in his eyes as he sang the song with his whole heart on stage, dressed as NYZ, and i really felt it was a farewell and a thank you to his character that he loves so much. LYN is forever the only NYZ in my heart and its such a perfect role for him. the performance was very moving and magical so i recommend it if anyone has not watched it!

Thanks for another update! Really looking forward to watching Dylan Wang's new costume drama "Guardian of Dafeng!" Hope it will be available in 2024. Dylan has an awesome 2023 with 3 dramas released, the iQIYI Scream Actor award, and last night's Tencent VIP All-Stars award. He is the only actor who received both networks' highest honors of the year awards. Happy 25th Birthday to Dylan on Wednesday 12/20. I can't believe he is only 25 years old. Btw, he looks absolutely ridiculously gorgeous, handsome, and stunning in blond hair at the Tencent All-Stars Night!!! Liu Yuning is 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥 ! He and Liu Shishi + Chang Huasen (even if voiced by other actors) and He Landou have grown in epic quality since the beginning of the well named Journey. I am as hooked as I was by LLTG ! The three days interruptions are pain! There are still six episodes to go, and I am still waiting to witness what will happen. A helpful soul pointed out the long 2hrs + more "concert" by the Modern Brothers, with 16 songs, amicably named and time stamped already, , by a commenter. Perfection would be a large hall, thousands in audience, and/or translations for international audiences who don't know those songs yet, and especially the one-man show of comments and jokes by LYN that stud this recording. But already a 2hrs+ playlist like this feels like a Christmas gift under the virtual Christmas tree. Just what's needed to relax between epic episodes 33-34 and the end ride 35-40 where 38 is announced in the calendar as particularly epic (battles ahead or ...) fearing and anticipating what will happen! Delicious anticipation. And already ready to applaud warmly when the cast will finally bow out. Even already hoping it could be... longer, have an equally thrilling sequel... Actress He Landou's Yang YIng had an expected (given circumstances) but impressive transformation, from beginning to choice of destiny. I already said how high in esteem I have come to hold the other leads, but actually the whole cast is awesome. This time it is not Wu Lei's swordsmanship that wows me, but Liu Shishi and Ning on and off scenes! I am dithering between waiting or not, before continuing the Lusi xianxia, which I have slowly started. The quip by Rosy that she liked, for once, to be the brains and brawn moving the story forward despite "on a leash", tied to the weak and halfwit "prince" was very funny. Perhaps I won't resist having a peek in the AJT episode-less period. But I do hope AJT will have a totally deserved third spot on top next Sunday. LMLMV is over. The last part was a big disappointment despite the lace dress while our hero WADED in Li jiang to carry the doll, before hurrying to cook fish after slicing it up into dragon scales drenched in tomato "blood". I know it's tasty, and the dishes did look good, but the story had become non existent, nothing to take home. Even the songs were beginning to blur in mind after the "retirement" concert which was too short and oddly inserted. And admiring Tan Jianci's excellent jawline and velvet voice did have its limits there. I had to go re-listening to his past C-pop songs for a change, and to the Dreams album, to stay properly in the 小炭火 Xiǎo tànhuǒ spirit (continuing my fandom explorations! ;-) ) But also, since one 水龙吟 Water dragon chant in LVLMV OST shares title with an epic one from Honkai :Star Rail, go to the original game song recording and epic covers by Bodokun song fan, and by 咻咻满 XiuXiuMan (who btw also contributed a song to LMLMV OST : it is a small musical world indeed, but both songs belong to gufeng/zhongguofeng so it is not that surprising). And of course I needed to try the award-winning game (just crowned at the TGA Games awards last week in Los Angeles): beautifully crafted space fantasy characters and battles. Now back to LYN who also has songs with gufeng/zhongguofeng vibes (not surprising, in wuxia). Now listening to his singing 落了白 ... actually it's a cover, but the LYN take is better imo than the Douyin original! And the next cover 等我先說 is even more soulful and pleasant to listen to.

Liu Yuning seems to me to be a seriuos actor, who is and want to commit himself in the acting he has chosen to do... devoted to his character, humble and intelligent in trying to interpret at the very best his character... A very "loyal heart" to himself, his work and the team he is working with. I will someday watcht this drama, Journey to love... kbut I have to finish other dramas I am in now... Marcus Hi You have managed to surprise me once again! The Liu Yuning bts clip gives us all a glimpse of how gruelling the nit & gritty of filming really is. Acting & film making are deceptively glamorous professions. When shod of the glitz, these two "jobs" are no different than so many so called mundane jobs. The financial reward can (of course, for the few) be fantastic but so are the demands on their physical & mental wellbeing ... only the most resilient thrive & survive long enough to have the satisfaction of seeing all their efforts adequately acknowledged.

Big appreciation Marcus for providing us(INternational fans) English update about C-dramas. Honest feedback: AJTL: All cast members did an excellent job which makes me weep when they all died in the end. So devastated but then again, at least it is a drama and it showed in the end that they are happy after life. But for the acting, and everything, it was great. The Last immortal: It is a full-packed fantasy drama. The protagonists acted well according to their roles as well as the Antagonists that viewers hate them very much. I read some comments saying it's a slow progressing, yes, I agree but it also gives more fun and excitement to watch what is next. I am currently watching Episode 26 and the drama is reaching its climax... You won't regret watching it. TBH: Because of TLI, I searched on Wang Anyu's(TLI male protagonist) previous dramas and though the plot of his dramas are good, he is most handsome in TLI with Zhao Lusi

It's nobody's business to criticise LYN for being casted as ML. If the production company and director feel him worthy that's final. His acting is progressing and even if he's not drop dead gorgeous, he's pleasant to the eyes. He's right, we can't control people's words but we can manage our reactions towards them. Hi Marcus! You are sounding so much better....YAY. I absolutely love A Journey to Love and Liu Yuning and his character NING! As a human, he seems to be a man of character and humility, makes me like him even more. I have heard those horrible netizens say he can't act, WHAT he has been amazing with the depth of his character and comedic timing! I just finished episode 34 today, and I don't want this drama to end, but NING needs a true vacation from saving the country. I have also been watching Love Me, love my voice, it is the slowest drama I have ever watched. It's more like a giant documentary about dubbing. Love the male lead, and the second lead...but that's where it ends. The other drama I have watched is Got a crush on you, it's Xu Kai Cheng and Guli Nazar and it's ok, I dislike most of the female characters with the exception of Beanie and it's hard to separate Xu Kaicheng from his scandal with his characters. I really hope a new batch of dramas can keep a good momentum with good writing and acting. I have to say I am always shocked and amazed at how bold/shameless/and hurtful those netizens are towards idols and actors. It leaves me shaking my head. BUT I appreciate the hard work you do to bring us the updates and information about Chinese dramas. JOY

Hehe he is good looking or maybe I have a weakness for Chinese features. I may be wrong but Chinese actors considered handsome in china seem to have western looks big eyes double eyelids etc like Dilraba is good looking to them and Ren from the longest promise is not which I find ridiculous.
