As awful as this series was and as much as I hate reliving these horrors as a Flyers fan, I love these quality of the highlight videos you post. Between sound, picture, longevity, and the fact that you show highlights from both teams, you're more reliable than NHL.

The energy in these playoffs is unreal compared to the NHL nowadays. Something is just so much different.

Cameron Clark completely agree the series just don’t have that edge anymore
@TheRapnep3 жыл бұрын
Probably because the league is getting too wimpy. The players aren't allowed to even say anything to a ref about a bad call anymore. They've been wussified and muzzled. I still love hockey, but it's been turned into a gentleman's game and not the rough playing, hard-nosed game it used to be. I miss the good old days. 😪

brandon goodwin If my Rangers had beaten Washington in that opening round series, we would’ve been the ones sweeping Philly in the 2nd round and we would’ve become the 2nd straight #8 seed to upset the Capitals in the opening round and the defending Eastern Conference Champions in 4 games in the 2nd round before losing the ECF in 5 games, as we would’ve lost to your Bruins in 5 games and you guys would’ve still gone on to win the Cup.

Tim Thomas was the best NHL player in 2011, No doubt about that. Say what you want about him and his politics, but Thomas was one hell of a goalie.
@pat4423896 жыл бұрын
redwings90 no he wasn’t. He played great in this series and vs the canucks and over time we’ve all talked ourselves into believing that Thomas was the only reason why they won. They were back in the finals by 2013 without him and would have won if Bergeron Horton chars siedenberg and others weren’t hurt along with losing some devastating OT games. Anyways this flyer team had tons of talent but wasn’t getting along at the point.
@billyboblillybob3444 жыл бұрын
@@pat442389 Nailed it! Thomas made some very timely saves in particular games in the Montreal and TB series but the real reason the B's won the Cup is that they could play against anybody in any style. Their first two lines were pick your poison...stop one and the other would excel. The third line was better than most 2nd lines in the league. The Merlot line was also very dangerous for a variety of reasons. This team really had wheels. If only their health was better off in 2013, it should have been another Cup.

what a difference watching this series over the montreal series. i love how you can actually hit the flyers and they dont fall to the ice like theyve been shot. they push back instead of falling down trying to draw penalties everywhere. could you imagine if that was Subban instead of Coburn? they would be rolling out a stretcher and the bell centre would be crying their asses off

These highlights are great! McQuaid got just what he deserved that sneaky bastard. I loved the seats we had at the game, 2nd floor right behind Thomas in the first period. That also meant that we were among the first to realize that the OT goal was in fact a goal.
@TheRapnep3 жыл бұрын
If you look at it again, the player McQuaid was going after SAW him coming and moved out of the way, ducking away from him. Granted, there was no contact, but it was almost the same move Marchand made in a game that upended one of the Sedin's. Marchand was raked over the coals for that and should have been. This guy should've been too. PEACE

Ridiculous implementation of that rule nowadays. There could be 5 minutes of play in the offensive zone that ends with a goal only to be nullified by an offsides that had nothing to do with anything. Should have a 10 second rule. The bench can use some kind of indicator within 10 seconds of play time, that the zone entry is being challenged. If wrong, it's a 5 minute major penalty and it can be attempted once per game.
