Elmundo Master is like..super above average. You need to be incredibly mechanically skilled and grind the game. Not an easy rank to stay in either. Dafran is top 500, which is a different breed sure, but like most people are gold and plat.

Drew Black plat and diamond is the difference between plat and silver. Masters and gm is diamond to silver. Low gm to mid/high is masters to plat.

Too much heroes outclass him, when he reaches top 500 he will meet players more of his caliber and they won't be playing soldier. He made it top 500 on 3 accs back when soldier had 20 dmg (before the nerf and rebuff) and there was less op dps heroes.

Difficulty ramps up non linear, so rank 1 is a different story, and depends a lot of random factors. And the enemy team would abuse the shit out of the fact, that he'd be "one-tricking".

its really cool watching a masters or GM mercy playstyle vs say gold/plat. Mercy seems to have a very flat skill curve but something sets these higher ranked mercies apart from the lower ranks and I am still figuring it out.

Tyler Fabish strictly positioning, if you watch the mercy’s in his lower level games they are running behind him the mercy’s in masters if you watch them they are placing themselves in a place where they can stand still and heal him and the snipers and other players on the ground can’t shoot at her, another thing is how they fly and how they pick their battles, flying around goes back to positioning mostly because some mercy’s just fly into battle and start healing but these mercy’s in higher levels don’t because they understand they have a high chance of dying and that will most likely result in a lost team fight, good mercy’s have a very good idea of when to go in balls deep into a team fight for a crucial Rez and get out of it but their not stupid about it like lower ranked mercy’s are
