Daft Punk - Alive 2007 [UK 16-06-07] [Premiere Date Announcement]

Final footage and audio from the Unreleased Alive of Daft Punk in the UK back in 2007.
Getting this material wasnt an easy task by any mean. Processing it was a totally other history.
This will include the previously broadcasted bits, reprocessed to fit the new footage.
Every scene was leveled independently, since it started in the evening with still lots of daylight, revealing all the details of the pyramid and structures, a really unique ocasion.
This clip marks the moment when we got green light to proceed with the premiere and set a proper date for this awesome footage to be shared with everyone...

The lineage (straight info about how was it recorded and saved into the DVD) is unknown. We have only vague ideas of it. The dvd have a premade menu, usual of a DVD Recorder of the era. This means the one who "acquired" the video, plugged the DVD recorder in the CCTV Feed with Timecode, maybe being the only one avaliable on his spot. Checking the footage it have 3 main problems... It have lots of compression (is less than 4 Mbits), Magnetic Analog Noise (this give us a hint that it was captured with RCA cables). And finally since the disc was stored for a long time it have little digital errors. We were trying to remove these last ones but it was really hard to manage, same with the Timecode. It also had a dozen of hiccups in the audio but those were perfectly fixed with help of some collaborators. Here is a sample of the original video and 2 ai profiles applied on the same frame, one gives bugs on the shirt lines and other cleans maybe a lot of info. Worst case, you could always use audio from either that great fan recording of Vegoose or the album audio itself. (But it sounds like you already got it fixed anyway). So I take it the time code is part of the video, and sometimes disappears (notices it’s not in every shot of the teaser). Edit: just noticed the parts where the time code goes away is when you used the officially releases footage of da funk and one more time)

@@Cargo_Bay On the DVDr, the timecode is present throughout the entire recording, even the sections of One More Time / Aerodynamic and Da Funk / Daftendirekt. We have simply replaced those two sections with the versions that don't have it to make it easier, plus there was a lot of distortion in the picture quality during One More Time / Aerodynamic on the DVDr so it just made more sense to replace it.
