It is a bright object and it's obviously rotating because it's flashing, It's way out in the distance, certainly rotating in a very rhythmic fashion Because the flashes come around almost on time. Guys, I believe what you're looking at is called a disco ball. :D

The movie is way too slow paced for the song. The only thing that semi-fits is the part when Bowman travels through the lightfield... but I guess that's the whole idea
