FOR ANYONE THAT WANTS TO KNOW HOW TO DELETE THESE: stand on the block that had the command block when spawning in the build, then enter this command in chat, /kill @e[type=minecraft:block_display,distance=..1] HOPE THIS HELPS!! :)

Also, in case anyone is wondering, the website used to make these block displays now has a new one called "Block Display Engine" and a place to put your models that everyone can use. Also, there is a new animator mode that is coming to "Block Display Engine" soon. (Oh the things i'm going to do...)

How does this impact performance? I’ve used CIT resource packs before but this heavily impacts performance due to it all being done with Entities. Does this also do this using Entities or actual blocks that are just pushed around a lot. I’ve been wanting to work on a special map to post online sometime but wanted nice details without mods so it’s easier for people to download and use the map. This would help me immensely.

This uses Minecraft's display entities, which are unique in that they are less laggy than normal entities since they have no AI or physics. In terms of performance, they should have just as much of an impact as regular blocks, although since they DO NOT have face culling they are technically slightly less performant. Still, if you don't use too many, there really shouldn't be a huge difference in performance.

Display Entities are just about as laggy as armor stands, meaning you're gonna need a LOT of them to see significant framerate changes. They're pretty cool.

If you still need help, you can replace any blocks that follow Minecraft's grid with real blocks to cut down on entities

you can make stairs and slabs with collision from all blocks if you off-set it to all sides and place a simmilar block under it

@@onionjam i do I design alot of them for my server and they cause no server lag but with 3000 of these entities you start to get some client side lag a few frame drops with a rtx 2060 and frame drops with 2000 entities with vega 8 graphics so yes I clearly do know
