Well, if you see, actually, the process of making this kind of songs is actually a bit more complicated than you think. If you know programs like Premiere Pro, Filmora, PowerDirector, or KineMaster for video and media editing, for audio and music and making songs usually, it's what we call a DAW or a Digital Audio Workstation. And just like a video editing app, we use, well, instead of just pictures and videos, we use, well, basically audio. MP3, WAV files, recordings, specifically, it can be either any sound or, most commonly, instruments, guitars, pianos, etc.

And in my case of what I do during my music composition and production, I don't always use real instruments. And if you can hear like some pianos, guitars, strings, brasses, or even woodwinds from my covers or my epic versions of my songs, they're actually not real instruments. They are VSTs or what we like to call them simply virtual instruments. Virtual instruments can come in .vst formats or in a popular software called Kontakt. We would like to call them Kontakt libraries (.nki) to differentiate them. So usually these software are operated by playing in a piano keyboard. But yeah, I'm kind of broke, so I just do it literally like program it by myself, just with a computer keyboard and a mouse, which makes it hard😭. But usually you would see like top-notch composers in the film industry like Hans Zimmer, John Williams, Tom Holkenborg, etc. uses these type of apps & software. And a few examples of DAWs out there are GarageBand and BandLab, but mostly amateurs and professionals use more like FL Studio, Cubase, Ableton, Logic Pro, and more.👍

And oh boy, let me tell you, doing music production and music composing ain't cheap. All of these come with a price. Literally. While some of my instruments here are free, especially I'm only using the free version of Reaper, which is my DAW preferred go-to choice, but I also use some libraries and some virtual instruments that are free. Some of them are just given to me by a friend, which are the paid versions of them libraries, which I can play in Kontakt 6 or 7, which are the updated recent versions of Kontakt. But yeah, pretty much else, all of them are need to pay to make music. But usually, it would be better if you have the real thing, because some of these actually sound a bit more artificial and needs a little adjustments here and there. Because comparing them to the real thing like pianos, electric guitars, acoustics, like violins, trumpets, and more other instruments out there that are traditional and local from your countries are a bit more better when it comes to the quality and the soul of the instrument itself comparing them to the recordings and samples that you would make here on these virtual instruments that are recorded.
