Dagbamete is a village located in Ghana, in the Akatsi South district of the Volta Region. The Volta Region, with the Atlantic Ocean to the south, and Togo to the east, is one of 16 administrative regions in Ghana. The population of Dagbamete is about 1000. The rural setting, dirt roads, and still common thatch roof huts give the settlement a distinct village feel. Most of residents are related to the founder, Torgbui Zatekpa, who settled in the area in the late 18th century.
The village has developed a national and international reputation for its traditional Vodu shrine, for its festivals, and for its summer music school. Hundreds of visitors from America, Europe and elsewhere visit the village each year.
The village has slowly modernized itself while staying true to its core traditional values. Under the dynamic leadership of the late Hunua Yao Dunyo who served as acting chief for more than three decades, the village added running water, electricity, schools, a lodge, shops, and a new shrine. The modernization drive continues under the leadership of chief Torgbui Klu Agudzeamegah II in London, acting chief Ngorbea Kofi Moses Davor, and the elders of the village.
Although many villagers still practice subsistance farming, increasingly the sons and daughters of the village are leaving to study and work in the cities and abroad. But the festivals, the shrine, and family bring them back home where their hearts still remain.

These are some of the things everybody could probably be expecting from the African Traditional Religion. Development, job opportunities and more. So far so good, a Vudu is being used to develop a community like this. It should be everywhere on the media platforms because to me it’s a very great and wise way of using the Gods this way. So I think that answered if you asked “why it isn’t well spoken about”

Because those who knew better sat and watch other quake systems advertising their religions via vans, movies, evangelism, school curriculum etc. If you know something, tell others about it
