I thought the retrograde planet has to be a natrual benfic for it to preform well in a dagha Rashi. And a natrual malfiec in it's direct motion preformed well in a dagha Rashi. Is this correct? Example Dagha Rashi Leo scoripo. Mecury retrograde in scoripo, rahu in leo. Mars in Capricorn direct, sun in saggutaruis for Capricorn asdendant

Good question. For starters, Dagdha Rasi falls in the 6th House and the Lord is retrograde. So it is a good placement for the Dagdha Rasi. As far as Venus is concerned, It is a Badhaka for this Rasi. So it should also work as a benefic.

When Dagdha Rasi Lord is placed with retrograde planet, it does reduce the effects of the Dagdha Rasi. Others factors need to be considered.

if I am not wrong than Dagdha Rashi is the result of both tithi and Vedic Vara (Day), its not just the only tithi... Ex : if its a Sukla chaturdasi and Thursday than its Jupiter's Rashi ( Dhanu and Meena) and opposite (Gemini and Virgo) becomes Dagdha..

It will lessen the affect. Badhkesh if lord of good house then it also lessen the good results and dagdha rashi if falls in 6,8,12 houses of chart then it is good. You should not analyse chart without seeing all planets placement. One planet, one house doesn't affect so much.
