Great idea by it being 24/7 server. I highly suggest you make it a requirement that members leave a log of what they've done when they log off. That way you know what's been happening since you last logged on and makes it easier to make content. Like you can do an intro showing an update on the farm since you last recorded, you'll know whats been done. Instead of guessing "oh, we're £300,000 more in the bank, how did that happen?"

Somehow I've missed his old videos of this sort of everybody can join in gameplay (despite watching his videos for a few years now😅) how often do people just mess around and cause chaos? I feel like opening it up for so many people to join is a recipe for disaster, though maybe because its members only and they've paid nobody will screw around?

I’ve still got an active game going on Calmsden in FS22. I made it a goal to by every field and it is a massive job keeping up with everything, but no unlike a real farmer. I did adjust the cow barn to support 250 cows, so essentially it became a dairy farm as everything revolves around the cows. This is the perfect map, bigger but not huge fields. With CP and AD, I often have this game going all day. So you idea of setting up a 16 slot server is awesome, there is no way you could fit all of this into a 30-40 min video. It’s on my bucket list to visit Calmsden in RL.
@carljohnson884014 күн бұрын
Something you may find interesting, I use both bale spears and pallet forks for bales. When we're loading in the field and unloading the trailers we use bale spears because they slide in and out of bales much easier (We run round bales). However in the winter, when I feed with the skid-steer, I feed with pallet forks because after the bales have been piled up or rowed up for a while, I can manage to stab the pallet forks in and I'll feed with them so that if I get stuck in the snow I can push myself out because pallet forks are tough enough for that. Bale spears aren't. Thought you might find that tid-bit interesting
@connslvr14 күн бұрын
I’m the same way, but opposite. I buy 100% of my hay. The farm I buy it from stacks the rolls flat side down. I’ve found that I can stack more in my shed that way too, so I bring hay in with the pallet fork usually on the skid steer, then I feed it with the bale spear on a tractor. I don’t get much snow here though. I did make a set of forks with two spears for my smaller tractor (Ford 4610). I can use it as a pallet fork or a bale spear. It’s handy.
@carljohnson884014 күн бұрын
@@connslvr Like I said we do it kinda opposite, when we're loading and unloading bale spears are faster as they slide in and out of bales easily. But when I feed with the skidsteer I like the pallet forks so that I can push myself out if theres deep snow and I get stuck. Come in handy a few times
@connslvr14 күн бұрын
@ just curious, do you feed hay in a central location? I spread mine out over the pastures, but I’ve considered putting a bunk in to put feed and hay in a bunk on the fence line by the hay shed. I’m not sure if I want to look at the mud though.
@carljohnson884013 күн бұрын
@@connslvr If you're gonna do a bunk I'd invest inconcrete for the immediate surrounding area, broken equipment and injured animals arent worth the money saved. 3 or 4 injured head will pay for a decent bit of cement pretty quick. We roll some out and put some hay in hay rings on cement, we also feed silage in inverted tractor tires
@ethanrepine886213 күн бұрын
Daggerwin, tractor nerd here. You asked about HP on the Case IH versus the John Deere 7R. Case IH is either 180 or 185 HP and the 7R goes from 210 HP up to 350 HP. Now I have three series to watch from you. Awesome. Keep up the great work.

Man, Calmsden just never stops being pretty and homely, Oxy is brilliant ❤ i would happily take some work off your hands in MP whenever i have some free time, fields are a nice size for MP work too, the scaling feels much better in 25! I dont know where modders get their prices from but for 2023/24 The Average (depending on area) UK agr/land prices fluctuated from ££4000 pr acre to £8,700 pr acre with highs of £16,100 pr acre. I have to say i have played this map to death and looking forward to being able to change things as there were a couple of tiny bits irritated the hell out of me. However the reset from shop to farm is the best of any map and very handy. I hope OxyD has retained that feature. Vehicle wear is an issue I usually repair when its in the £100s rather that £1000s However i reckon if you repair and say update your engine hp it should not show wear for ages. Love that new crunchy noise of the tractor on the gravel.

I remember calmsden farm from FS 19 FS 22 I do remember watching your older series off calmsden farm on FS 22 it’s a very good map bye oxygen David he really does a good job with FS Firstly I’m going to be open and honest with you daggerwin I am on the same page as you I prefer rotating beacons flashing lights they are so much better I think you need a bigger combine header for your claas combine 25 foot or 30 foot as calmsden farm has huge fields and a 30 foot header would seem where you need to be there I like the new telehandler it’s always nice to try out new machines and equipment and I do prefer quadrant balers as well over round balers the John Deere 7R will be around 300hp I think so it will be the perfect arable tractor for cultivation work and baling This farm seems very fitting also for a case quadtrac and a fastrac it’s a brilliant map and decent sized fields I’m going to enjoy this new series and I can definitely see this series going on for 100 plus episodes easy ❤️👍

I think this series should definitely have the MacDon equipment purchased outright to increase yield, especially with how flat the fields you have are. Have a grass and crop swather, then get the collection header for the Claas. I can imagine it's going to come in handy, especially with 16 players and a vast amount of fields to harvest.
@samtrenchard124614 күн бұрын
To collect three swaths into one you either need to manually set the windrower width to the width of the header or three times the width of the header. You don't need to mess with offset unless the combine header and it's swath are not inline.
