If you have a 3 week gap, can you do a forestry challenge? Just a quick series on using all the forestry equipment and see if you can pay back like a million dollar loan in 10 episodes or something?

One challenge I have been playing through myself, is to only buy used equipment, starting with the £1.5m beginning. its really fun, the first couple of years are fast because you can't really do much but it is fun to see how your playstyle becomes dictated by what is on sale. I allow myself to buy new equipment but at double the cost, because sometimes you just have to. Another good mini challenge I have been thinking of doing myself is playing from one plot of land. so you buy one plot of land and cannot leave it for anything. you can use the "store deliveries mod" to have stuff teleported to you and you would have to place everything down including sell points on that one plot of land.

Both are awesome ideas! I am playing Griffin, IN with no mods, vanilla game. I did allow Kubota pack and precision farming...and I had to place a sell everything grate due to the train thing on that map...But no mods, no cheats, no dev console...It really is a challenge for a PC user, I feel for the console guys!

Have a map which has plenty of sub contract tasks. That way you can get different tractors and machinery for every field. Basically a field test mini series. When planted and fertilized and growing speed up to harvest then check out all the harvesters and processing. By using helpers you can do multi field tasks at once, taking over to display individual machine performance through the vids.

I really like this farm, I would just say continue with this map you got that big field to plant corn or sunflowers, plus the fish farm. Just continue with it until the platinum edition come out. Plus you can have more solar and wind energy fields . Just go all out.

Great series Daggerwin. I would like to suggest that you could use those 9 episodes to enable Precision Farming and continue the series. If you document your stats as best as possible, it would be fun to see the difference for this series on this map with PF enabled after just 9 episodes. Thanks for sharing.

This has been a great series to watch a couple of suggestions for the gap 1. What about doing a map we’re you use all big equipment, big animal sheds and use things you would not usually use like large tmr and pig food production ect as a already well established farm 2. How about elk mountain map you could do the gold mining

Daggerwin a TIP i found for cutting logs into lenghts is put the full tree next to the trailer then use the trailer as a measure to cut to

Personally I would say some sort of mini vintage series. The equipment is generally cheaper so it should hopefully be paced quickly enough. In general though I would say to pick whatever you're gonna have fun doing. It will make for a more enjoyable video to watch.

One final thought; As far as productions go; male the pallet factory your first production and build a stockpile of pallets and once you have a few hundred/thousand THEN look at the other productions as they all output to pallets

you should plant soybean in the big field, its low yielding but pays well. plus you can use both your planters and the seeder to get the crop in faster.

hey daggerwin, have you tried the manure system mod? it adds hoses for manure, fertilizer and slurry to realistically pump them into cisterns and the likes. you buy the hoses and you have to manually attach them on both ends, for example a fertilizer sprayer one one end then a ICB of liquid fertilizer on the other, then get in your tractor to activate the PTO on the pump to start pumping it into the sprayer, rather than it just disappearing into the sprayer parked next to it. that means that if you dont completely empty a ICB you can even refill it from your trailer. its a super cool mod and adds some more authenticity to filling up liquid containers.

During your gap you could do challenges if you wanted? How fast can you produce clothes on Erlengrat, or how fast can you make cake on Elmcreek? Give yourself as minimal resources as possible and see if you can do it as fast as you can.

So you're gunna have a few weeks gap before the new series, I have a couple suggestions. First, if you'd just like some time off, that's totally understandable. Granted you still have the other series going on, but this would get you a few extra hours a week. My other suggestion would be to do additional episodes on survival RP, went get any complaints from me on that one at all lol. Also, is there not a store where you can purchase wheat, instead of buying big bags? When I start a new save game, if I don't have a field I can harvest to get feed for horses and chickens, I buy stuff from a place selling it, or I'll "cheat" and use the buy anything silo. I always make sure that I have animals and that they've got a year supply of food while I work to get them a steady supply. Also, could you maybe keep this save game and come back to it every so often just for the helluvit? The whole fish farming production has been educational for me. And it's a lot more profitable than I was expecting. After watching MrSealyP's mod review on it, myself and others were under the impression that it wasn't going to make much money, that you'd be better off financially if you just sold the pallets of product that you're putting in it. Great work as always, I appreciate the time and effort you put into entertaining us. Always a treat 1😎

RE fish production being profitable: I'm with you, Daggerwin. I ran with it just to use it. Money is irrelevant to me at the point I am in my save, I make 3-4 million a month just doing nothing. Some may ask, what's the point then? Just to have fun. Try mods, get as many productions running as a well oiled machine. Farm to table sort of stuff. It is an interesting save and I think I have more fun doing this than the survival/building mode. Anyway...you can always change the xml too....

A thought for series' going forward if I may? Move on once a certainly income (and/or monthly/annual income) is reached. Mirrors life then in so much that you're saving monthly (for a move - to a new map (a mortgage) but at the same time keeping things ticking over to run the farm If the monthly income target isn't realistic then look at selling everything off (folding the business) and carry over the remainder into a new map on hard (so you have to buy everything with the previous map's savings/total. DerTebbers used a similar model back in earlier FS (want to say 2013) and it worked well

I wish they had more direct planters and seeders in the base game. Idk about other countries but in America alot of farmers practice no till planting cuz it’s easier on the soil and more productive. Very few farmers in my area at least ever ploughing or cultivate almost always see a new crop growing through old dead stubble which I have to imagine is also another benefit with more nutrients being available

A challenge. Western Wilds map, how much money can you make in 9 episodes starting with nothing but a chainsaw? Theres a few teeny tractors out there that would be great. I love my little Porche Standard! Or maybe a forestry challenge of some kind. Using only a chainsaw how much of a wood based industry can you create in only 9 episodes.

I know there is not many episodes left but there is a storage mod that gives you 20 million litres of space for anything you can produce including productions, it's a barn but fairly cheap for how much it can store

Personally, I’d like to see more episodes of your survival challenge series during that gap. With you having so many series running concurrently, progress just seems to crawl along at times. hey daggerwin just wanted to say hello and tell you about the manure production so what i did is bought the manure production and when i get the straw from the contract missions i'll put it in there and it makes manure for all times i did it as a test to fill a 4 million litter silo with straw off of 4 fields big fields i was getting over 700 k litters each field so it add up quick to the 4 millon so it a quick farm
