Worked for a company that grew trees short rotation, cut them down, chipped then and exported them on ships. Lots of tractors and quad bikes mounding and spraying and fertilising, then huge feller bunchers and skidders, wheeled loaders etc harvesting then either chipping the curvy ones in field or truck the straight/normal ones to the big chip and saw mill. It would be interesting to see a future version of fs get into forestry in more detail as those trees look big enough to be saw logs. The equipment for chip vs saw log is quite different. So the way I'd see it implemented in fs you'd plant trees on a farm or buy an established woodlot, and either grow the trees for chip or leave them longer for saw logs. Jobs to do would include mounding or ripping, planting, fertilising and first year weed control, thinning (perhaps selling thinnings as firewood) then harvesting. Again the first rotation harvesting equipment (single trunk) would be different to second rotation (coppice)

On backing in dolly trailers, we use a John Deere Gator with a front mounted trailer ball, for small trailers. For larger trailers we use a skid-stear with trailer ball attachment to the pallet fork. It's more economical that using tractors.

The 5000 storage in the wood chipper isn't really storage, it's there because it chips more or less instantly but spits the chips out quite slowly. If you watch it on Glance you'll see it go up when it eats a log then slowly come back down to 0 while the chips come out. If it goes all the way to 5000 you put too big a piece in and have wasted some :-D

Daggerwin, I don't know when you did record this, but if you're still in time, don't skip to next day, but rush it to give your cows some water, 'cause from the Glance mod you can see they've run out of it (22:08) and if you skip the night you'll lose some. Even the ships are critical on water, so you might want to "water" them too ;)
