I would say totally realistic to use the MAN to refill the tanker considering it is a 4x4 truck. I would buy the Massey 8S and sell both the Valtra and other Massey to buy a different medium/small tractor like the Fendt Vario.

If it were one of the Mack trucks it would not work out. i swapped to the MAN in Elm Creek because the Mack was having so much trouble navigating the fields pulling the Wilson Pacesetter to empty the harvester. The MAN has worked fantastically and I don't doubt it would pull that tanker out of the lake as well or better than the Valtra has been doing.

I'm sure someone else has already pointed this out but running straps with the egg pallets would still keep things semi-realistic as the strap would run between the top and bottom rail of the pallet, not over the top of the eggs. LOVE your series. Keep up the great work!

When you strap with eggs it does tie the pallet down securely, goes under the eggs.

Hey Daggerwin! You can fit 8 pallets into the car trailer you have there; you just have to put 3 length wise and 5 side ways in there and that fills it up nicely like that! just a tip; will also make them slide about less :)

You can also strap eggs.. The strap goes around the lower portion of the pallet itself and not up/over the eggs themselves.

Stacking eggs: I’ve been to a tour of a giant chicken barn and with the kind of pallets they had (plastic) they could stack up three levels. Keep in mind they had special plastic pallets and egg holder things.

also I used to deliver eggs and you could strap the pallets down by feeding the strap through the pallet instead of over the top, I think that's how they've designed it in game since it doesnt show the strap covering them

An egg can take an absolute load of pressure from top to bottom, it's sideways it can't take as much. A single egg can hold about 20k before it breaks, so cases such as in this game would be so easy to stack it's untrue.

@@brook316 plus the way the packaging is designed so as to protect the product, it's also designed so that farmers can move out as much product at one time as possible. So I wouldn't be saying anything if he stacked them 3 high.

A Moffat Mounty forklift would suit this game so much. They fit onto the back of a lorry trailer so where ever you go you have a forklift with you

As far as I remember you have a thing for Massey Ferguson tractors. Live the dream and don't let your dearest viewers get in the way of yourself. We like the series anyway, even if you would set up a full MF equipment farm. It would be the ultimate Daggerwin series :).

As a truck driver, there's a trick we do in order to get a couple extra pallets on the trailer, which is to alternate which direction the pallets are facing. So if you have pallets on one side of the trailer facing one way, then put in the next packet on the other side facing the other way, you might be able to fit another pallet, MAYBE even 2 extra pallets on your trailer. If I remember next time I'm on I'll try it myself.

I say that you buy a second forklift to keep at the dealership and reimburse yourself. It would be realistic since all dealerships have some way of loading customers vehicles with items and it would mean that you wouldn’t have to fool about with getting the forklift to the dealership at 11mph😂😂. Keep up the good work!

There’s a mod where you can get maple syrup from trees and I think they’ll be a very big benefit. Great series by the way👍

You could get the 8S and not sell the Valtra and if something better pops up then you could sell the 8S and Valtra

@@AdBul_ My guess is that he has thin tires, double rear tires, and the front loader attachment for the Massey. Getting rid of it means he has to fit another tractor with at least the thin tires and front loader attachment.

@@AdBul_ I wonder too. I even bought a second Valtra in the beginning - they are good and cheap Allrounders (mowing, windrowing, fertilizing, spraying) even in later game. So you never have to "waste" your better Tractors on these rather simple tasks.

You can strap down the forklift on the trailer by putting the straps on to prevent it from sliding. The straps lay flat but lock the vehicle down. This works with any equipment

The bad thing is that when you strap down heavy equipment on that trailer it changes the way the mass is calculated and raises the trucks nose off the ground.

Yeah. I said the same thing on the last video. Plus drives around in a semi truck with strobes on, and continually leaves strobes on while working a field. I want Giants to break strobes on his machine only.

Just binge watched all 31 episodes in 3 days! I highly recommend the Massey 8S.305 it's perfect for your needs and also look out for the Kuhn Espro 6000 RC seeder as it's not too greedy and it's also direct drill. Also the MAN truck is better in my opinion as you don't hit stuff with the bullnose. Oh before I forget the Oil Mill is epic especially with Canola and Olive oil prices! Keep up with the fantastic videos as it helps pass the time whilst my workers are beavering away on my fields on Elmcreek.

A pallet is 120x80 cm. The trailer you have on the pickup is just over 200cm wide meaning that you can put one lenght wise next to one width wise. I believe you can fit 8 pallets in each layer leaving just a 80x40 cm in one corner. Similarly the Krone trailer is 240 cm wide meaning 2 pallets width wise or 3 length wise. You have to maximize your space to maximize your profit! 😊 Speaking of profit: you should check out the complex north of the farm shop. 😊

Great content :D Some tips for loading: U can Strap the Egg. It just straps the Pallet. With the small trailer you can load one pallet across and one pallet lengthways. With the large trailer you can load three pallets side by side. ;) Greetings from Germany

As someone who used to work in a grocery store, i can verity that you can, in fact. stack egg pallets, at LEAST two high. It's routinely done that way over here....and our pallets are bigger than your pallets. it's fine. You'd be surprised just how much load an eggshell can bear.

Wow. I would have never passed on that 8s. Especially for the price. It’s your game, your series i wouldn’t care what anyone thinks when it comes to the tractor you use. If you like it and it makes sense to buy then buy and enjoy the game. Love watching your videos and really can’t wait for another camping survival episode.

Just to mention contracts that are TOTALLY worth it… Cotton harvesting. Just got an extra 50,000 on top of the contract payout for harvesting field 37 on this map. Hope this helps expand your farm!

I believe the bakery won't take an unlimited amount of eggs because it's part of a production chain and the bakery only has a set capacity. Eggs definitely seem profitable in fs22. Great series too👍

Would like to see you take a small farm into a large farm in this style. Honestly I'm not a huge fun of the survival series as much as I am of the let's plays. Have you tried reversing the forklift onto the trailer so that more of the weight in on the tow hitch?

A forklift of that kind weighs in on at least 3,5 tons and realistically that trailer is not constructed for that weight even if it would work in the game. And considering that he uses the forklift for the lettuce pallets (that can be handled by hand as it's not more than 200Kg) I'm guessing he mainly want to be realistic.

Fun fact about Eggs. They have an average compressive strength of 45kg (approx. 100lbs) so you would be completely fine stacking them xx

Love the series but I know for the curtain trailer you would have a loading bay for driving in the back with the forklift so you can fit more pallets into it.

For the trailer on your pickup, back the forklift onto the trailer. Bet it works better lol. Oddly farm sim seems to calculate weight distribution correctly more often then not. The weights on those are mostly behind the seat above the steering axle on forklifts

You should use the forklift for just yard work, for lettuce,tomatoes etc. The Massey Ferguson with front-end loader should be used for everything else.

Just so you know Daggerwin, if you already don't know this, but if you put the straps on a trailer with a vehicle on it, it straps down the vehicle so it doesn't move.

The Bakery has a maximum storage since you can buy it yourself for production chains, that storage depletes very slowly when you don't own the Bakery and don't produce with the inventory

at 4:48 you said the Bakery didn't buy all of your eggs. I think that is because the Bakery is a production facility that has a maximum internal storage, so once it is filled up you can't sell there until it processes some product.

You can strap eggs and equipment down, it just won't show the strap over the items. When you strap eggs in, you will see the meter show how many eggs on board.

How did you get the forklift into the trailer after planting the trees? Is that a feature of that trailer, or did you mod it up there? Because I would love to be able to transport a forklift around and still have room for a few pallets.

Talkes about realism, planting a dense with wood (normal harvest time 30-50 years, should be ingame time also) FS wood plants are 4-5 year old that not used when planting your woods and taking care of the woods. Having charger, trailer in his garden.

Dagger, try get another chicken coop... That will solve your money problems... 2 chicken coops give you around 500k per year depending on what difficulty you got it set to... But keep in mind they go through food very fast

@@Daggerwin I feel like the way used machinery works in base FS22 changes things a bit, since it's not you deciding what to buy. Showing off more equipment is always welcome when you can but if it's a question of 'progress with a used MF vs don't progress' I know I'd rather see the former and I suspect I'm not in the minority there. Just my thoughts, though - I just enjoy watching you have fun with this game and I'd rather you do what makes you happy than make yourself miserable trying to cater to 700,000 different subscribers who are going to have 800,000 different (and often contradictory) opinions on how you "should" play.

I had the same problem with the drill. If you keep it still charges you even though you returned the harrow. Only shows under the money page that it's leased.

When you want to haul the forklift on the trailer on your pickup truck you can stick a tractor weight in the bed of the truck and it will stop it from doing that

I notice you refer to seeding as drilling, and the seeder as a drill. Is that a UK thing. Here in Australia (a map that should be included in the base game IMO) it's called seeding and the implement seeders. Also, if time allows, could you also do a tutorial on how one can set up their own 'survival' type scenario. I have a sort of story in mind of inheriting a run down neglected farm, with no more than an old tractor, trialer, and hand tools, and fields basically gone to meadow/woodland, and very little to no money in the bank, and working to turn it around into a productive farm.
