If you are able to hook the tanks together keep it and be able to fill the greenhouses faster. Think about getting a second red trailer so you have extra transport.

What you could do is buy a second plot and set it aside for the sawmill, animal enclosures, the yard and silage pit, keeping the starter plot (apart from the greenhouses) for big arable fields. A grain silo will be needed too once you have the whole plot to harvest.

skid the logs instead of cutting and loading on the trailer, saves alot of transport time if you buy 43 and get the sawmill going. the small amount of grass you loose by not cutting first b4 u place the mill is very minimal

One thing to consider is that the pickup truck is quite cheap, and gives you a much higher speed for things like carting grain, refilling greenhouses, hauling logs etc. Can also be nice if you have your tractor working the field you still have a vehicle to do those tasks with.

If you’re going to mow the grass before building the sawmill, a convenient and inexpensive starting option to mow and collect grass is to use the cheapest equipment - a front lawnmower and your forage wagon. In this way, you will immediately collect the mown grass on the trailer for the silage. That way you can save up money to buy a bigger rear mower and a bigger windrower.

I like the idea of you both having four greenhouses. More money coming in means more options for generating money like more productions which I feel will make the series more interesting. In the end, all that matters is who has the most money.

I wouldnt have sold the crop, I would have put down minimum 1 chicken pen, maybe even 2 and used all the crop to feed up chickens. Get the egg production going early. The Greenhouses are basically overshadowing any minor money you get from the grain.

The green houses are very op but it depends on how you both want to progress the series, keeping it at 4 would be interesting in terms of how you both develop fast in terms of land and production chains.

You will both have the same opportunity to progress and it will keep the series moving in a nice pace. Especially when a new plot of land is $85,000 and you want to build productions. Favorite series going!

I like the greenhouse rule, it means your making enough money to keep the series interesting and progress going but then also means your not making too much money to the point we're u can buy everything in 2-4 more episodes 😂 love the easy the series is going by the way really interesting and awesome 👍 id really like to see more survival challenges on these types of build your own maps, I feel it's alot better than a pre built map for the content type ❤

Finding a solution to the greenhouse thing is the big problem. You can't just delete them at this point. Go back to the save game on the server before daggerwin bought them, but that doesn't work. Might I suggest keeping the limit at 4, both parties set to selling, delete your private water sources AND put a communal water tower in the very NE corner of the map on top of the hill. Outlaw all water extensions on the greenhouses. This way you need to work for the water. Start out with all greenhouses filled, but once they start producing they suck the water. To keep them watered would be a major undertaking. Just a thought.

thank you for adding a limit. i get that to many rules suck but those greenhouses are too powerfull for almost no work. but i think the limit is a good medium. its still a good income that will allow you both enough to go different paths to success :) btw what is the rule about productions/sell points ? are you allowed to use the other players to sell materials or not ? just curious ^^ p.s i dont know why but my gut feeling is that this will be the one that daggerwin will win :)

Honestly, the game is just like this. If it isn't greenhouses it is silage, or forestry...Even the vanilla ingame productions make money, the vanilla large greenhouses work the same, the output is just not as stupid. Whatever...I would rather see them have SOME money and be able to expand rather than spending the next six months harvesting the same two tiny fields over and pver.

I think you should buy a piece of land that has many trees before you build the sawmill. 43 next to you may be hilly and has a lot of trees. Yes to replanting the trees. You may have them regrow by the end of the series to recut them

Don't forget to check the price greenhouse products. They may reduce at some point so if you set their output to selling ,You may lose all the extra money that you may have got when you sold them manually.

I think the one greenhouse rule is in order. There are some mods that are just overpowered enough to break the game, even in solo. One out now that multiplies all productions speeds by 50. I'd feel guilty running it.

I think the 4 limit is fine. Its a production per say, and its your first. Chainsaw has the forestry production and has them running overnight as well. I think its evens everything up considering your start and having equal productions at this time in the beginning. Do not be afraid to win this time.

One rule that will help to really minimise the min-max playstyle would be to say that you can't earn more than $1mil for any one means of income. Once you've hit $1m, you can't grow that crop again, you switch off the productions, etc. Silage can still be created, for total mix ration, etc. But, cannot be sold direct. This will mean that you can diversify into many different things within the game, and never have to worry about min-maxing the series.

This may be an unpopular opinion, but I think the AlienJim mods included with the map (the greenhouses and the sawmill) have already ruined this series. We are episode 5 of a "survival challenge" type series, and you have over 125k in the bank and will get another 50k or more by the next episode. I do not watch Chainsaw, but it will be the same for him. It has taken away the challenge, and turned it into "who can find the most broken production", which is always the risk when using productions in FS22, most of them are exploits. Perhaps it is good to accelerate the series, but really the whole premise of this being new and different is already gone. There is no battle to build up from nothing by hard work, just filling some greenhouses. Not a criticism of your or chainsaw or the videos (they are always going to be entertaining, because I find you entertaining to watch). Just I think this series premise is a compromised.

I have found that if you plow perpendicular to the property line, heading towards it... that it will stop exactly on the property line. If you are not exactly perpendicular though, some tiny bit of your field will be in the other property. iirc - if you start ON the property line, and you have the front of the tool in your property, BUT the back of the tool is in the other ones... the WHOLE tool will dig in.... ruining your line. (my memory may be failing me...I am old:)

Regarding cutting down to two greenhouses, consider that chainsaw made 47k in planks last week. So I think it is irrelevant. It just boosts the money a bit more, but it isn't like this will be a struggle when you get going anyway. So I would just leave it. Curious what chainsaw will do with it this episode.

You need to get the equipment to cut trees, transport them and then invest the trees instead of selling them. And also buy a proeccsing plant for 20k, instead of 1,5k! There is a whole, understandable process behind that. The greenhouses take unreasonably much nutrients from the air and a little water and produce stuff like they have 1km² land inside them. It's just unbalanced as hell, nothing else about it.

Hey Daggerwin, may I make a suggestion? I dont know if this is feasible, but, for large expensive equipment, tractors, combines, trucks etc, you both have to use the Used Machinery Sales? My idea is that you both have to keep money in reserve so that when something pops up you need you have have to gamble and get it, but if you do that what appears next you may need more so there is an element of gambling. Plus, it leaves more money to develop the farm, productions, and buy more land. Also, what ever production you buy, Chainsaw cant buy and vice versa.

Yes. However, you need to take into account the time wasted loading and transporting yourself compared to what you could be doing. In this case the stupid output of the greenhouses probably make it better to load and transport, but it is something to consider. I always set greenhouses to selling and use them as background income. I just have better things to do than move all that produce.
