Yes. You will be guided by the "voice of your heart" and you don't need someone to tell you what to do, or where to go. I feel sorry for all those people who have done something with their lives that they aren't truly happy about because of misunderstanding, but theres even a lesson in that. Life is amazing!

spiritual unfolding happens more effectively when we participate in life's everyday human activities. For example someone becoming angry at you because you said something that triggered anger in them. A zen saying "before enlightenment chop wood, carry water, after enlightenment chop wood carry water.ONly difference we are not lost in humanness rather in presence, self aware that we are Being having human experience. Being human is a blessing, a beautiful, holographic expression of the divine.

Meditation has only one meaning, and that is going beyond the mind becoming a witness. In your witnessing is the miracle -- the whole mystery of life.

what would have been more important to clarify is the confusion between total surrendering vs mock surrender [by making own decisions without taking responsibility for them]. You cannot pretend you surrender when you still put your 'interests' first, deciding what is good and bad for you- that is self bamboozlement in the illusion of duality, not self realization. Surrendering is not to someone/something but giving up the urge to react to feelings and emotions while fully acknowledging them [to let go you must first let come].

I remember when I quit my job of 15 years. I had no idea when I woke up that I was going to do it. I walked into my boss' office and just found myself saying "I can't do this anymore". I didn't feel like it was me doing it and it didn't feel quite real.

It's worth taking the time to read 'I am that'. Meditation will also guide you towards oneness.

Yes, I agree with all of you! Also today I think it makes sense that there is no Mooji ashram (yet :-)), there would only be more rules and regulations. His pointing is just so direct. Nothing needed. I love you Mooji

The ego creates barriers,if not the job, then something else. One can be awake in a 9 to 5 job as the background of peace out of which all action takes place, Notice this in suble shifts in consciousness from the busied forground to the "satvic"background throughout the day. Also notice how the ego protests and loves to wallow in "poor me" with thoughts like:"this is impossible with all I Have to do and so forth" Love and peace to you Julia

I appreciate the comments made by Mooji. And as he said, there is nothing cut and dry. If you are using the mind to direct your decisions - it will not last long anyway and will end up producing a lot of suffering. Yet, if it comes from your heart, you have faith and follow the inner calling then you can't really go wrong. I believe part of Mooji's pointings are to let go and trust your instinctual nature and he seems to reinforce that in this clip. Also, per Zorba A's Comment, my sense is the organization has concerns people are coming based on some misguided notion. Again, if it is the ego that is saying to give everything up to go be with master .... well the jokes on the ego because once there - it will find itself cornered and only desire to escape. And it will also judge itself harshly for such a stupid decision in the first place.:). And Mooji also says we can't make mistakes in our lives - life is just unfolding and there are really never any mistakes. Its all a dream anyway, right? Everything is unfolding spontaneously and naturally. Again, nice comments by Mooji - but the question smelled of an agenda.

it is a very tricky subject, i love your comment sri gunapati. i also dont think that a material job can go alongside a sattvic life, not in its ultimate expression and the only way is that the world becomes an ahsram. it is natural that people on a path f enlightenment seek and need (in the beginning) the company of l

Becoming a wanderer, or leaving everything behind is an illusion. Yes this can happen. but we are here to live fully in presence as human life unfolds and this means working a 9 - 5 job, having a family or not. But the idea of being spiritual means to wear rags and leave everything behind is a misunderstanding. I feel that it is a subtle egoic behavior that we must leave everything behind and live on the streets. It seems like a resistance to life an easy way out.

One only has to look at all the projections others put onto our words, the taking out of context and so forth. Also to look at the times when we have also done these things to others as well. It is prolific in human interaction in our day and age and is something to wake up to. So don't come on and try to blame the Master or anyone when it is our own unawareness of our own bullshit. The Heart is where true intelligence resides and Mooji has stated something to this effect over and over. If people don't hear or see what can one do?

I do value what he says and about speaking freely, but I do feel that, even though not sought after, to have the following he does and with the kind of people that do, there becomes a duty of care I feel. At the end of the day their aim is to better people lives and they are dealing with minds, both of which would warrant some consideration. It also feels that he can change his stance on a statement that he meant to mean one thing but no says it means another. Who is to say or discern between whether one thought should be just observed / ignored and one thought to be acted on. I feel that he sees some truth in what the lady is pointing out as he seems rather abrupt /annoyed / aggressive, its actually made me see a very different side to him I find rather disconcerting.

Yes I agree with Mooji.. don't take things to literally or take what is said too far. Don't go naked to moojis house to live. You will freak him out a little bit.. at least explain that your shedding your ego.. lol

I can identify the man's misinterpretation as I also have thought for a long time that if we all shed our clothing, ego would leave as well. Although helpful, it would very soon turn into a trip to the funny farm and ego learning how to operate without clothing as cave people did. So no. Stripping oneself of clothing isn't the message of the sages. Stripping oneself of the embedded ego is.

the company of other such souls and especially the guidance of the guru. how can you have a 9 to 5 job and lead a sattvic life? impossible and no enlightened person does such things. all gurus and sages devote their whole life to this and completely stay away from the material money world. of course it is not a need because you can be anywhere but ut is just natural like this.

Julia Maria: Wouldn't an ashram have to employ people to run the kitchen, organize events, sell massages, sell books, pay for energy and supplies, maintain buildings and plumbing? I don't see any way around those necessities, even in a spiritual commune of devoted, surrendered souls. Why can't a banker be enlightened? Why is a charismatic guru with followers necessarily enlightened? I'm sure that Mooji is still developing; it's not a 'finished' state.
