I think it would be cool if the mod had Dagoth’s original voice when you start, and as you work your way through the ruin it slowly changes to this one.

Definitely see what they were go for, but the delivery lacks a lot of the original charm. Dagoth Ur is supposed to be charismatic and haughty. He’s not just some villain hoping to take over the world, he believes he’s the godhead and literally dreams the world into existence. Original “I’m a god, how can you kill a god” line is meant to convey that haughtiness as fact, this one sounds a lot more like he’s trying to convince us. Only other major problem is that he’s supposed to sound absolutely panicked and desperate when you finally attack the heart-he’s calm and collected until he’s no longer in control. Then he cracks, because he knows his plan is falling apart in front of him, and his thousands of years of patience was for nothing. This dude seems irritated, like he just wants you out of his room. Besides that, not bad.

I actually like this voice. It makes him sounds less chilled and inviting. He sounds more sinister and menacing like he truly is some insane beyond death monster.

Interesting interpretation of Dagoth Ur in his more "monstrous" side. Double personalities and masks are a big deal for Dunmers and it's no difference for their gods. It allowed to prepare some surprises for players. After seeing creatures infected by Corprus, everyone was expecting some crazy abomination to haunt our dreams for some time, instead we get mostly Dunmer-looking, refined gentleman with pleasant voice. Vivec's deleted voice was more in line with this video. It makes sense, if Dagoth Ur is the victim and Tribunal are the betrayers of Nerevar.

Then again. There are multiple accounts of the events at Red Mountain such as The Tribunal killing Nerevar after Voryn Dagoth protested,The Tribunal killing Voryn Dagoth after he went insane from studying Keening,Sunder and Wraithguard and the list goes on. The writers themselves haven't really decided which is true.

I think Dagoth was defending the tools from the tribunal but Nerevar didnt realize and had attacked Voryn, this made Voryn snap into attack in defense of the tools and the tribunal making nerevar believe Dagoth was gonna use the tools when he might of been defending them? But then again who said he wasnt possessed by then?

I don't appreciate the fact that it's default in morroblivion and you have no option to use the original Jeff Baker lines. It'd be like if Skyblivion just decided to replace Sean Bean with some guy from the dev team because they thought they could do better.

Jeff Baker’s lines don’t cover the text speech in the actual dialogue, which is primarily why the mod was made. I don’t think it’s a good analogy when everything in Oblivion was voiced to begin with

@Nihulistic99th True. I know the guy who voiced Dagoth Ur is quite a regular VA over at Bethesda and I think he's also in a few Fallout games and he's in Oblivion too.
